I recently bought a Kindle. This came about because I was not able to find good books in the nearby bookstore. So, traversing through online I noticed that books on Kindle were priced far lower than otherwise. So, I bought one and have read two books on it.

Considering that I was from the old school of thought who liked printed paper books, this deal is not all that bad. You get access to a good collection of books. For example, if you look up for some book it is there and there are 50, 000 biographies in it.

But the collection of free books is clumsy. When you begin to read the book, the book must have that pep in it for it to attract you. But the free books are not at all attractive and you somehow end up purchasing a book.

But the rectangular device to fit the palm has the advantage of the online collection. And reading from it is comfortable.

But it comes with a price 8000Rs, 14000Rs & 22000Rs. The price band differs with memory and other small features. But the basic one also comes with online memory to store books downloaded. So, it is all that one must need.

My advice is that if you have enough money to spend and if you can read enough books to avail of the discounts on Kindle books, then go for it. Else, our second-hand book reading is also not bad. But I just evolved.

Good eBook reader and they are user friendly, very attractive look pretty. Fully E-ink display, like paper type screen. Reading experience is so good and long battery life. But some eBook format like 'azw3' are not Readable, Some bugs are detected. Screen light are Not available in this version kindle 6th Generation. Bengali Language are not properly supported and no longer zoom. No Repair Service are available in India

I am a lover of books since childhood and have a good personal library. I was in USA few years back and saw a guy on the

electronic book, which instantly fascinated me. I made inquiry and came to Know that Amazon company has come out with an electronic book reading gadget, which is called Kindle. Many books are available free on Kindle and we can download them at no cost. The device is sleek and beautiful. It looks attractive. Kindle is a best friend for book lovers. It is virtually a pocket library. I recently read a full book, in a 6 hour flight. Kindle is a best friend in the air flight. I would recommend Kindle to all those who want to avoid the smart phone and you tube addiction.

Amazon Kindle eReader is very sleek and stylish. Very good display and weight is less than 170 gm. Easy to use, slim, poket friendly is very user friendly.

There are some spacial features like the eReader in two colors white and black.that no matter you can sit in bright sunlight or dim light room and no glare and backlighting.6 inch pearl display with 2 Gb internal and up to 1500 books.performance of eReader is nice it's like you carry library in your pocket.

Overall expirence is very good with this Kindle in nearly 6000 and one year warenty.

I bought the Kindle e-reader from Amazon, this month. My budget was low, that's why I chose the e-reader version.

As I started using it, I felt like, it is the best device ever invented. Like a dream come true for a reader like me. Since, it is the starting variant of Kindle, with no build-in light, I prefer you to go for a Kindle Paperwhite(it includes build-in light), if you want to read even in dark.

The design and built are great.

Nice battery backup.

Regular updates and classic assistance from Amazon.

Thousands of available books on Amazon Kindle Store.

Can read PDFs, Doc and other supported files on the Kindle.

I bought this Kindle reader in Jan 2016. It was working nicely, and I was very happy by using , but from last 3 month battery was stated draining immediately so I tried to contact Service Center to resolve that issue, but I was Shocked there is no any authorized service center of kindle in India, so I went to Mobile repairing center and repairing center people told that this battery is not available in Market and we could not repair also,So guys I will suggest you don't buy this E reader If you already bought or buying You can use it till it works good after some damage don't think also to repair it as no service center in India

Hi all kindle reader is very easy to use it feels just like we are reading paper.its very thin and light weighted.No eye strain battery lasts for week not for hours.its special feature is unlike reflective tablet and smartphone screens, the high contrast touchscreen display eliminates glare in any setting even in direct sunlight. can store thousands of books which is a remarkable feature its very reliable for all book lovers.as far as cost is concerned gives good value for your money.

I recently bought this kindle ereader so that I could enjoy the comfort of reading my favourite novels without having to go to bookstore or wait endlessly till the online bookshop delivers my book. But nothing met my expectations.

First of all, the touchscreen is of very poor quality. It takes so much of time to respond.

I thought atleast I can buy books at a cheaper price very conveniently but it turned out that that also wasn't true. There is a kindle unlimited edition for which you have to pay less but it covers few books which are bestsellers. All the good books which I wanted were not in this unlimited section. Hence now, I would have to shell out more money for each book.

Moreover, the kindle doesn't at all give you a feel of the real book. It's nowhere close to that. And this version of kindle which I bought for 5,999 rupees doesn't even have built in light that allows you to read the ebooks in dark.

The worst part was that the kindle ereader stopped working after 3 weeks itself!

I tried every possible method to restart it again but the screen was stuck.

It was a very horrible experience.

The design and style is nice, but its not worth it.

All the book lovers out there, you'll definitely be dissapointed and distraught over this kindle ereader. Please don't buy it.

Superb build. Extemely light, perfect for holding in one hand. Amazingly, its priced almost half as that of paperwhite. You can buy an attachable light for reading in dark. A flip case or atleast a pouch should have been provided though. Official amazon covers is a quarter of the price of the whole device, so not practical. Mailing books directly to kindle is an awesome feature. No problems faced except occasional lag in a month. Go for it!

Kindle in indeed the best device for reading with anti glare display and the display is e-ink display which is a cater for the eyes.

You can download thousands of e-books and can read them wherever you want.The build quality of the device is strong and it can resist falls.Some add on features are that you will get an offline dictionary and Wikipedia.

If you are reading this then its not highly improbable that you are an avid reader. Friends this device is last stop for you. It stand apart from the likes of tablets as it is not one. it is just meant exclusively for books and nothing else. I wouldn't compare it with other reading devices as I have not used them nor they are so readily available in India whem compared to this device.

Firstly, the build quality, I have to say that this device is molded out of high quality materials, and feels nothing less than the legacy nokia handsets when you hold it.

Screen it has a 6 inches e-ink display. Now this is not what you'll find on every device it is just found on e-readers as this display feels just like a paper. The display is good and ppi is upto the mark, which is sufficient for reading.

Battery life this is the most crucial thing fora e-reader, and according to my usage which includes and hour or so of daily usage it lasts for about 3 weeks(wifi on everytime). I feel this is sufficient for most of us.

Books and storage Kindle devices generally comes with an internal(non-expandabe) storage of 4 GB(it varies from mode to model). It might look low on spec sheet but believe me it is not. This is due to the fact that the format Kindle uses(AZW) has books in the size range of kBs to few MBs. I have almost 20 books in my kindle and so far, I think, not even used 10% of its available storage. Coming to books, Amazon is known to have the largest collectio of books out there spanning across all genres.

Kindle in India starts at Rs 5999/- but it is worth every penny for a regular reader and book lover.

Great device for reading. It has the same feeling when you read a book and the chargimg life is great for me I will read 50-80 pages a day and I will get the battery life for 1 month 30 days . The good part is that it shows pictures like the normal book and doesent hurt the eyes I think few people will want to read books while they sleep. If they want to do that then they need to use a bed lamp as that is sufficient light to read the book.

If you really want to read in loght then go for paper white . They both offer us with kimdle store which has all the books. You can also upload or publish your book in the store. It is like carrieng millions if books in ome small little rectangular device

I am a serious reader of  fantasy books. I switch to next book immediately after I complete finishing one. This has resulted in piles of book stacked up at my room.

It can be seen that that e-books are much cheaper to their paper or hardcover counterparts. So space constraint and price pushed me to look for e-Book reader.

Unlike smart phone, laptop or tablet, the screen does not reflect. Since it has glare fee display, the device puts less strain on your eyes. Once charged, you can read for 18-20 days.

The device with 200 gms is much lighter than paper or hardcover books and 50% less than that of Tablet. One fine day, my baby slept over me with his head on my chest. I could read with the device for next one hour without disturbing his sleep.
