I have been using an iPad Air for about 2 years. It’s a wonderful product in terms of build and experience.
But please be aware that Apple does not repair an iPad at all.
Meaning, if the product fails even after a day after warranty, there is no repair option at iCare.
They will give you a quotation for about 60% ~ 70% of the product cost and will offer to replace with a same model, with 3 months warranty.
My firsthand experience has been extremely nasty .
My ipad is 28 months old which was procured for apox. Rs.34k .Even with perfect handling , the product just refused to power on in about 28 months.
iCare charged me Rs.1000/- to tell me that the product will not power on and that they can’t repair that.
Effectively they do exactly what you will have already done at home, going by Apples support instructions and absolutely nothing more for which they charge.
They then gave a quotation for replacement, and if I agree, it means that , my iPad Air would be worth close to Rs.60k at the end of 28 months.
This is plain thieving.
I have serious questions to Apple , a brand that I trusted and loved a lot. How can a premium priced product like this fail and how is that you can’t support repairs.
It’s a big LET Down. If you want to be financially sensible , I do not recommend to invest in this product.
