This is the most recommended and quite basic software suggested if you are switching from windows. Here is the description of this,

I have used ubuntu16.04 LTS amu64 version and currently using debian and kali linux in dual boot. This was very easy to install software. The functions were quite basic and good. The user interface of this software was appreciable. I used it in dual boot alongside with windows 8.1

The features provided are way better than windows and it is not fully command based OS like kali linux hence it is a good intermediate to learn about software developing. The service and support of the software is good and any problems regarding this can be resolved on its official site.

It is really nice software and is must if you are learning about different softwares.

I am a ubuntu user and I have to switch to Windows now because of the recent update. I don't know why they are not fixing the issues.

Issue 1. The software center will not load no matter what I do. I have the best internet connection though.

Issue 2. Sudden termination of the programs. It will also not auto save.

Because of these two issues I have to switch to Windows : (

I’m previously running Ubuntu 16.4: now upgraded to 17.10:

If you’re in the market for free os or virus’s free os Linux is the only option . And don’t forgot old systems are welcome to Linux where windows 10, lags a lot, if you have a fairly outdated system like core 2duo or similar to that please try the Ubuntu 16.4 or 17.2 not 17.10: why I will be discussing below keep reading. First once u think about Linux u might which distro I should go with, my fav is Ubuntu . Not the new Ubuntu the old one where u can go for the mint but mint look so old, so I will suggest to go with Linux 16.4, or what if u have a i3 or i5 and you want not a speed os cause you already have better hardware so in that case try Ubuntu 17.10: why it’s beautiful man I love it ?? only problem I’m run in to shutter, it’s lag a lot in old system Not in new system, so if a new, new I mean i3 with 4gb ram at least go ahead download now from official site and it easy to install too, love the installation, it’s fast compare to windows, last thing is it any good compared to Windows, yeah definitely, so many things 1 your privacy is your now, 2 no malware, 3 no shutters, 4 old systems can play full had video that’s a big one, cause it’s used less resources, go ahead try now, and yes I forgot to tell you all why Linux it’s got better updates compare to any other Linux distro that does matter to me and all Linux user so try Ubuntu . As you know Ubuntu Linux is the very popular OS in the world for only programming, hacking and etc. work but its very difficult to understand because its all features are very complecated not the user friendly.So this OS is not user friendly and some little bit problems come during installation so normal user we can not install in his laptop or computer who haven't any type knowledge about the OS.Mostly this OS use for Hacking, Programming and Networking which is very difficult.Once I install the OS in my laptop for programming and networking practice and I do not understand its features clearly because all features are different to the basic Windows XP/7/8/etc.BY the way Help functionality is good and virus free OS but its GUI not user friendly and this OS provide good service.So on the basis my above experience I gives only two star.

Today I am telling you about the Ubuntu Operating system. This Operating System is command base and it is a Debian based Linux Operating system. Its features are very complicated for the ordinary user if he has no basic knowledge about the Linux otherwise its good. This OS comes in many categories like as Kali Linux, Peppermint linux and etc. Help functionality is good for this OS.

Recently I used this OS in my Laptop but I have not understood its features. We can not easy to install any software and I faced problem while I install this OS in my Laptop. Its very typical to install in Computer compare than the Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10.

This OS not User-friendly but its good for Programming and for hacking. It's service also good. We can not easy to create the Partitions. I give only two stars.

Ubuntu one of the leading operating system.There is no need of anti-virus software for ubuntu because viruses that attack ubuntu is very rare.But still if you want to install anti-virus software that your sharing your files to windows and mac systems then you can install anti-virus software.But no need to install any anti-virus software for ubuntu.This is very useful for software engineering students because they can learn programming languages through terminal it is very easy to use and very speed.And also you can run windows applications in ubuntu after installing wine in ubuntu.

Hi friends I want to share my personal experience about ubuntu at first when I buy my laptop it comes with a ubuntu linux based system and I thought that any videos are not playing in that system I aoonly recognize that it is used for educational purpose and it has no features and no other softwares it is used by ethical hackers by which you can learn ethical hacking , pragramming, coding, python coding these are all types of ethical hacking it is only performed on ubuntu linux operating system

This is a free operating system, and this is the only free operating system that is fairly good and usable. I have it installed in my laptop, and I use it as a secondary operating system.

The platform is different than any other operating system that we are used to, at first it might look tough but its actually fairly easy once you get used to it. But the only problem is most of the applications which are very popular in the market are not compatible in this operating system. On the other hand this operating system doesn't require too big hardware specification which is good.

This is a stable operating system, you can definitely give it a try.

Ubuntu is the best Operating Sytem once you use it you will love it I am sure , it has great function and features , you can use it either by installing or by live media ( dvd, pendrive , etc) even in live mode it is very fast it will not stuck in any program if it is , it will make itself out of there in a fraction of seconds, and it can be used in development of linux and in the installed mode it is very fast but. You have to remove your all media from your hard disk means you have to format it while installing Ubuntu or almost every linux distros , maybe you can make partition afterwards but at every cost you have to delete your files , it is a great problem of Ubuntu and every linux distros I ever used.

Ubuntu Linux is the one of the operating system. It is the best competitive for Windows operating system. When I bought my Dell laptop, the laptop was loaded with Linux initially. I feel very uneasy while using it. It is not understanding the user commands or inputs. But the shop person who sold the laptop told me that the Linux gives best security for us. Even though it is giving security, but we're cannot operate it. Even were are highly educated also, we can't do anything. It is the major drawback with Linux operating system. I hated it simply and went to a shop for installing the windows 7 in my laptop in that day only. As the days are passing were feel mad while using Linux. But in other countries all are used Linux only. Because they look about security only. No other reason behind this.I likes windows 7 because of user convenience. It is very comfortable and easier than Linux or any other operating system. I suggest windows only. I don't want to refer Linux to anybody. It is worst operating system in our country.

Ubuntu is the operating system which comes in linux category.Its very complectated for user.Its not user friendly operating system.However, Its operating system very good work but if you have knowledge about Ubuntu linux other than its not good.Basically this OS use for hacking, Computer programming etc.Its features very complex from Windows 10, 8, 7, XP.Normal person can not use this operating system because its very typical for using.It can not easy to install in computer and its can not easy to use.However, its features are good but its very complex.Recently I used this ubuntu version 13 .1 but I have not proper used for this OS because I faced many problems like as related to the software installing, Network connectivity etc.Basically this OS good only for IT student and IT employee because they have some knowledge about this.Its main disadvantage its all hard drive format automatically in one partition during installation.So its not good normal daily users.

Ubuntu is one of a linux based destro it is similar to any other linux but it is made mostly for beginners to learn about linux and how linux works. I couldn't remember since when ive use it cause since the moment I got a pc I installed Ubuntu but at first its kind of trouble as I know nothing about it but after a few months I have use it I understand how it works and also with the help of some ebook I have download but after I learn its command I found out its really easy to use and to work on a penetration test or mostly web application scanner

I have used ubuntu version 15 debian and I have to say that it the best operation system that I have used.

Well most the users are initially coming from the windows or mac background and find a bit difficult to adjust to ubuntu, initially it has some learning curve but eventually you get better at it and most of all you will love it.

Consider the following advantages, everything is done through command line, it is the most secure operating system, its open source meaning that its free.

Hi all, I have been a fan follower of this Linux Distribution since 2004. My first PC was equipped with it. However, I was not able to use it apropriately. Later on tried to understand some of its features. But as the days are progressing Ubuntu is becoming the Best system to have. Absolutely no Chance of Virus or Spyware if you are keeling your system uptodate.

Unlike any other system, Ubuntu and Most linux are updating their distribution in just 2-3 days with security measures and some updates in aplications. Even if you try linux based or windows based antivirus you will see no sign of Virus. If you had previous system installed and it has virus, then it will be picked up.

It gives you freedom of Free aplications and through WINE you can use windows software through it.

With LTE version it lasts for almost 3 years with security updates without fail. If you like to keep up with interval updates then after each 6 months new version is launched and you can upgrade to it FREELY.

Yes, it lacks microsoft programs and has some In built Programmes which can be considered as the replacement of some windows programs. However still you can use Windows programmes through WINE and keep your PC clutter free, Virus free and UP TO DATE.!

This is os not preferred by many people as recently I purchased a laptop a dos but ubuntu was pre installed in it and I faced a lot problem in installing Windows so not too good .

But easy to use and it's free so for home it's good

But if someone has to transfer files from ubuntu to windows it's too difficult and for presentation made in ubuntu can't be easily presented in windows

I installed ubuntu 14.04 64 bit alongside my win 7 OS a while ago and I am pretty impressed with the OS.

Pros-

FREE! This is open source software, so can be downloaded free and installed!

Simple to setup and configure.All you need to do is to download the iso file from ubuntu site and burn it on a dvd.Now put in into drive and restart pc.It can be installed side by side with the existing OS or can be over written to the OS.And all the needed drivers like audio video usb card reader bluetooth get installed AUTOMATICALLY.wow! thats cool!

Sleek and stylish looks and feel.UI is very nice looking.Clean graphics.Amazing animations.

Easy to use and user friendly.This OS is as simple as win 7, only difference is the arrangement of icons.

Cross -platform support.It has inbulit office app with which you can open and edit the MS-OFFICE files thereby avoiding one of the biggest concerns in using linux.

No need of anti virus software for this OS as there is no virus for Linux.Money saved!

Cons-

App support/software support.This is the only area where linux falls behind windows.Softwares are not as apleanty as that for windows, but not bad.All the necessery softwares can be downloaded from internet, that too free of charge!

Ubuntu is a free Linux operating system. It has been developed by Canonical Limited company. It was released in 2004, so it has been in the market for 11 years and it is a free and open source but still many people are not aware of this operating system and Windows is responsible for that. People knows Windows operating as synonyms to computer many of us thinks that computer can not run without windows. And another issue is user friendliness. Who are accustomed with Windows finds it difficult to understand any Linux operating system.

Ubuntu has been developed by Canonical Limited and it is an UK based company. As this is an open source so does not earn any profit by selling this operating system, but they earn by providing technical support to the users. If you install Ubuntu you will get software along with this installation and they are Libre Office, Firefox, Thunderbird, Transmission etc and along with it you will also get few free games. Libre Office helps you to get all the features of Microsoft Office applications like Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Firefox is the browser and Thunderbird is the mail software. And the best part is you can get all these software free of cost online. On the other hand, Microsoft charges very high price for their software like Microsoft Office and Outlook. So in this respect, Ubuntu is very cost effective and it needs to be more user-friendly. Only a technical guy could deal with this operating system and that is their main disadvantage. Ubuntu needs to learn from Microsoft how to make operating system user-friendly so that anyone who does not know anything about computer could also operate it and also needs to learn how to advertise their product to make it popular, Microsoft is best at it.
