NeoPlanet

I tried the NeoPlanet browser. It was a quick and easy download, not taking up as much space as some browsers and yes there were some lovely skins to use. I had chose a pink one with teddy bears and it was adorable and that is where it stops.

I tried typing several web addresses into the space provided and more often than not got a page not displayed message. Matter of fact I could not even get on MS with it.

The other part I didn't like was that it did not show the full page at once and you had to use a scroller to see the rest of the page which was a pain.

I gave this a two week trial run and can't say there was anything I liked about it except the skins and that to me is no reason to use a browser.

I am still sticking with my Internet Explorer. It has always been my first choice and it probably always will be. There may not be any fancy skins but there is a hot bar you can add to it if you want to have some design on. This can be gotten at https://hotbar.com

IE does take up more space but it always works and I don't have any problems with it.

I would not recommend NeoPlanet as I just think it is useless.

I strongly DISAGREE with the other review posted here about about the Neo-Planet Web browser I recently downloaded the new Neo-Planet version 5.2 buils and I must say I am completley EXCITED about this browser.

For starters I have not seen 1 pop up or advertiesment in this browser. and as far as IE is concerned IE used to be and I stress USED to be a wonderful and probably the most powerful browser out there. but here lately IE has been lacking, I cant count the numerous time that my IE has crashed or cause a GPF(general protection fault) what a HASSLE and im sick of it so I started on my quest for a better browser.

My first was Opera this browser is light and a fast download if you get the Java disabled version around 1meg, and or the java version around 9meg. it was ok but just like you it didnt compare to my IE so I dumped I tried a few other browsers and none compared to my IE UNTILL ... NEO-PLANET

i downloaded this browser expecting to get the same old same old but much to my surprise I LOVE IT ... I have been using neoplanet for well over 6 months and you know what I have YET to get 1 singal solitary GPF, Blue Screen of Death, or have any problems with this browser. The features they have in this browser I LOVE. I love IE as much as the next person but who wants to look at the same old screen over and over again the SKINS function is awesome you can change the look of your browser at will and as many times as you like without any problems or any of those bothersome GPF's.

I have also benchmarked this browser compared to IE and on average my page loads are 68% faster because this browser does not rely on all the JUNK that IE has incorperated in there so called Stand Alone but who are they kidding IE relies so much on WIndows its PATHETIC anytime your IE has a problem 9 times out of 10 it requires a REBOOT hows that for a wonderful browser?? I think not!!!

The download manager is great I love it have not had problem 1 with it. But then again I dont use download managers thinking they are a waste of my Hard Drive space and just worthless JUNK like any Net accelrator program. Secondly Neoplanet Browser loads in HALF the time that IE takes to load and pull up a page gee I wonder why another because IE is intergrated so much with windows it has to ask its DADDY for permission to load a site ??? and if you would watch your resource meter Neo-Planet takes LESS memorty and resources than IE ever could IE would wish it could run as reliable and as fast as this browser. And on a further note you must be running an out of date computer my p200 had no trouble opening another program while running Neo-planet and my P3650 does it WITH EASE!!!!!!

As far as your favorite Chat clients yes it does come with somewhat of a chat program type thing but that doesnt mean you HAVE TO USE IT .. I mean come on get real... I love my AIM,YAHOO,ICQ as much as the next person(read my review on trillian an allin one chat program great software) ...

The integration of my POP3 mail client into this browser makes my life so much easier it checks my mail and has all the functions of my outlook. and I love the fact that I do not have to open a whole new client just to check/read/and write a simple E-MAIL!!! This Web Browser also lets you import all your favorite IE settings like bookmarks and such and even ggives you you a wonderful Windows based ''WINDOW'' with little icons to make any settings you would like to make.

Download time ??? I have a cable connection and if I remember correctly my download took all of what 1 minute not a big waste of time. Even if you have a 56k you spend what 15/20 mins for a download what could it hurt to Judge for yourself if its worth it.

This Web Browser by far blows any other browser I have seen OUT OF THE WATER it is a must download. The skins available for this browser can make each browsing expierence a different one each time. And hey if you dont like Uninstall it its that simple. In My hunble Opinion IE is out Neo-Planet is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one browser you can largely do without. Big talk and hardly any action is the policy of this browser. They promised to build a bridge where there was no river. I find that this browser is utterly for the benefit of net advertising. This browser has all the functions of any basic browser and probably better. All of this is packed in a download of 4 MB.

In this download you get a mailbox where you can receive and send messages from your POP3 email accounts. You will get a download manager which is much like the Download Accelerator but much slower. All these seem to be very effective but actually this browser is just a mask. It actually maintains a record of all the sites you visit and transmits the same to third party advertisers. While browsing you get numerous popups for vacations, contests and other things. This browser also has net clubs which can function as a messenger service. Again I say all this seems pretty attractive but this browser utilizes a lot of system resources compared to Internet Explorer and other browsers. As a result it is very slow, very very slow.

You can come to know of that when you try to start any other application. You will be able to open multiple windows but it will be a big pain as compared to IE. This browser has tried to be the jack of all trades and has ended up being the master of none. As I have mentioned in some of my reviews, too much versatility is not good. We simply cannot stop using your favourite download manager, your favourite messenger, your favourite browser and your favourite email client. We all have got accustomed to using them and can not do without them. All we ask is a light browser, one which is fast and is light on the processor. Another thing is the way they lure net users to download their software. I always like all the featured downloads of the week at https://download.com on my PC.

I recently saw a browser there known as the Grinch browser. It was listed as a new browser. On downloading it, to my horror I found out that it was in fact powered by the Neo Planet browser. In reality it was just a skin of the Neoplanet browser that changes here. All functions are the same. Only it is red in color and has a small un-noticeable picture of the Grinch staring at you from the sides with a telescope.

In all I would just advise you is not to download Neo Planet browser or the Grinch browser. It is the same wine in different bottles.
