Windows xp was and in more ways than one is still the most perfect OS. Ive ever seen. Its completeness is only matched by a chobits. Yes thats the best word to describe it. Its completely at your mercy because it starts with enough intellgence to know you as a user. From there its like it adapts to how you use it. Its user friendly and sleek compatablity makes it the perfect beginners os for any age. Also fact xp os is the blueprint model for all of the new windows. So just incase people forgot xp is the orginal perfection. I know because im still a user of it today. Good job windows

Now it is useless and no support from microsoft
Nov 06, 2016 10:25 PM 1072 Views (via iOS App)

Microsoft is the first to introduce multitasking operating system. that operating system is the microsoft windows xp. At the age of 11 years my computer is running on windows xp but now days its windows 10 time.

microsoft stop the support for windows xp and hence there is no security updates are available through microsoft which cause system gone into a huge problem. It also takes too much time of installation and support old fat32 partition system.

It looks classic and very old now and outdated. it does not support latest netframework packages and also the games which I love most.

I don't recommend this to install in your system use windows 10 instead.

First window I have operated Since I have started to operate computer. I am using this window from a very long period of time. I can say that its one of the best windows from microsoft.

As per my experience:

  1. Speed: Speed is quite fast in this window as compare to succeeding versions.

  2. Boot: Boot time of this window is moderate.

  3. Security: Security is low as. Compare to advanced versions i.e Win. Vista, 7, 8 & 10.

  4. Driver: All driver needs to be installed manually unlike succeeding versions, where it automatically detect sound drivers.

  5. UI: User interface is attractive and easy to use.

Professional Os XP x64

I purchased unique Windows 7 proficient around a year prior.

I purchased it from Chhabria Infotech, Kolkata which is one of only a handful few spots in Kolkata who offer unique programming.

I have utilized XP predominantly till now. Windows 7 has functioned admirably as such, it is certainly speedier than XP yet there are issues like Vista, it prompts the client each time when there is another download or redesign.

There are issues with such a typical programming like Adobe Reader. My five year old scanner doesn't work with Windows 7 as it is not perfect.

Again Windows 7 perceives most gadgets all alone. It gazes upward for drivers not accessible in my machine and redesigns it without my impedance.

Windows 7 is unquestionably vastly improved than Windows Vista which was an exceptionally hazardous working framework.

However XP still looks and feels superior to anything Windows 7. Like Vista, Win 7 does not concede certain forms of Net Framework something which is required for my work.

By the way, Chhabria Infotech brought down my subtle elements and I was approached to state for what reason I would be utilizing my product. Well, when you have paid 11k for a product you ought to be permitted to do what you need with it.

Outdated yet using

Windows has released windows xp approx ten years ago. After that windows has released windows7, 8, 8.1, 10 also but still some of the windows users are using xp.

Now its available freely on the internet(full version). Its is still good for home users but there is no service and support as it an older version. Therefore even it is good I would not recommend it for the lack of service and additional features available today

Window XP is best OS
Feb 06, 2016 02:56 PM 1708 Views

*Window XP is the only best understandable OS then other all the OS. Even still am using only this OS because still many software are not working in other OS like vista, 7, 8, . This is support all type of software and window 7 is not support directly any kind of DOS related software. like C+ etc but window XP can support all type of software without having any problems.

Window Xp is part of the window NT family of OS, on aug 24 2001 window xp was manufacturing and after 2 month it was generally released for retail sale in market in oct. 25, 2001. This OS for any kind of official or personal purpose. it was very easy to handle the OS for beginners in computer use.

Some important features  are

Enhance graphics

color based GUI

fast use switching

backup recorvery system

Direct X8.1 upgrade able to DirectX9.0C *

Windows Xp professional a good OS
Dec 26, 2015 04:25 PM 2117 Views

Microsoft  produced Windows XP, which is a personal computer operating system that was a part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. On August 24, 2001 windows xp was manufacturing and after two months it was generally released for retail sale in market on October 25, 2001.

In those days XP was very popular and useful OS for any kind of official or personal purpose. It was very easy to handle the operating system for beginners in computer use.

Some feature which was introduced in that OS:-

  1. ASR-that is automatic system recovery.

2.Color based GUI.(better than windows 98).

3.Enhanced Graphics.

4.Better file system and provides file system encrypting(only for NTFS) .

5.Fast user switching.

6.Backup and recovery system.

7.Default media player.(windows media player).

8.User interfacing  is very easy and simple.

9.DirectX 8.1 upgrade able to DirectX 9.0c

and many more.

There are three service packs were released for Windows XP and the contains various fault fixes, bug fixes and some additional features.

The service packs are:-

Windows XP SP1(service pack 1)

Windows XP SP2(service pack 2)

Windows XP SP3(service pack 3)

Although in these days people are using new and upgraded operating system like Windows 8, Windows 10 but in my view Windows XP SP3 was the best operating system for users.

In replacement of Windows XP the Microsoft corporation designed Windows 7 which is also a very good operating system.

Another version,another experience...

I bought original Windows 7 professional about a year ago.

I bought it from Chhabria Infotech, Kolkata which is one of the few places in Kolkata who sell original software.

I have used XP mainly till now. Windows 7 has worked well so far, it is definitely faster than XP but there are problems like Vista, it prompts the user every time when there is a new download or update.

There are issues with such a common software like Adobe Reader. My five year old scanner doesn't work with Windows 7 as it is not compatible.

Again Windows 7 recognizes most devices on its own. It looks up for drivers not available in my machine and updates it without my interference.

Windows 7 is certainly much better than Windows Vista which was a very problematic operating system.

However XP still looks and feels better than Windows 7. Like Vista,Win 7 does not admit certain versions of Net Framework something which is needed for my work.

Incidentally, Chhabria Infotech took down my details and I was asked to state for what purpose I would be using my software. Well, when you have paid 11k for a software you should be allowed to do what you want with it.

With more & more people opting for a 64bit processor over a 32bit one & already most of the Linux distros offering 64bit operating systems to the users, how could someone keep windows down.

The first ever Beta Release of windows XP 64bit was on September 2004. It had so many flaws that you couldn’t even run a video on the system using windows media player.

Many releases later even after about 1.5 yrs, it still remains a beta version. Most of the problems have been fixed but the primary problem remains that of drivers & software availability.

Now let me start with the basic stuff to get the OS for free go to https://microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/facts/trial.mspx

& then follow the instructions to download the ISO file. It’s a 150 days(6 months) trial version.

Once you got it downloaded, burn it on a disc & then install it the same way as you would with a normal windows XP disc, but I would recommend you keep the old 32bit installation of your old OS.

Once you have windows installed, you will see a considerable amount of speed difference between the way your system boots & runs. The windows XP 64bit runs faster than the 32bit counter part. If your lucky & have hardware from standard well known hardware companies then most of your hardware will function normally & well.

Once you have everything running comes the tough part WinXP64bit has native 64bit support & runs all your 32bit programs on a emulator, something similar to how your 16bit programs run on windows XP. Also it doesn’t provide support for 16Bit programs so as result you can’t run programs which are very old & use 16bit code.

Now comes the surprise part though it provides support for running 32bit applications, most of the common applications fail to run on the 64bit platform. Also for folks who like to play games on windows there is bad news for you most of the games don’t run on the WinXP 64bit platform. Thanks to this most of the vendors are offering 64bit versions of there software & games now a days(trails can be downloaded for free). But I feel as the days go on winXp64bit will get better & better. Also the software availability will increase for the 64bit platform & you can actually use all your favouriate application in windows xp 64bit.

As of now the winXp64bit is definitely not the replacement for your windows XP operating system. Though you can run 64bit applications on it, its of only use to people who are use software which have 64bit versions of it also out, like IE, Media Player, Norton …

For the rest it’s just a way of knowing how fast windows can actually perform when using the full features of your processor.

WindowsXP 64bit

At last 64 bit computing came for the common man. All these years while working with a 32 bit system I used to wonder when the next generation of processor will arrive?

For me, the common man, its the generation after pentium the processor looks awesome with 754 pins to connect to the motherboard (AMD athlon 2800,1.8 megahertz).

I am writing this review after nearly one year of getting the new processor, because simply I could not get the operating system for 64bit .At last it came in my hands. The performance , benchmarks can be had through numerous technical papers that are widely available.

I would like to write my observations from a common user's point of view.

First the problem I faced was installing the raid driver. So its my advice ppl who plan to upgrade to 64 bit OS in AMD based systems, get the raid driver beforehand and keep ready in the floppy.I have a MSIE motherboard, so downloaded the driver from their website.Intel based system owners need not worry as the windows xp software comes packed with the required driver for intel based systems.

Then came downloading all the drivers for motherboard, sound and audio and LAN card. So if you are planning to upgrade, first keep all the drivers ready in hand.

The biggest problem I felt was that getting the drivers for 64 bit systems are really tough and for few modems, the drivers are not available at all.

So you must check first if all the drivers are available.

For example, if you are connecting the BSNL broadband through USB , the driver for 64 bit is not available. You have to connect it through the LAN only.

When I upgraded, the visible difference was not much. The performance was improved, but I felt it is marginal.

Most of the softwares are still designed for 32 bit systems. Those can be installed, (in a process called WOW,which creates a mask like thing to create the 32bit environment within the 64 bit operating system) but the performance doesnt increase, rather technically it has to decrease.

Even common applications like MS office is not coded for 64bit system to my best knowledge.

The graphics are also affected it seems.

Moreover for the programmers, finding a 64 bit based compiler for C is real tough. So it doesnt run there too.

I am sure one has to wait for another year or more to find all the things in shape.Hence for the common man , its my advice:

  1. Just donot rush for the 64 bit system because it looks doubly powerful.

  2. Installation may be troublesome.

  3. The performance is not increased unless proper versions of softwares are installed.

I know the write up is small. more replies and criticisms will make it rich. Better if the users list their personal experiences. Technical bulletins are available widely.
