Do you remember that I have promised you that I will write review on this product?? Ok, so here comes my review....
Microsoft Visual InterDev is also known as Microsoft Visual Internet Developer Tool. This software is from the Microsoft Corporation and is coming with Microsoft Visual Studio. The latest version of this software is Microsoft Visual InterDev 7.0 or Microsoft Visual InterDev.net . But as I havent seen .net yet so I am going to write review on its version 6.0 . I hope that you all will like my review on this wonderfull product by Microsoft.
How I came Across: As I am programmer, I also like design Web Sites and Programme Web Sites. In 1997 When I introduced to the internet I was using Netscape Navigator 4.01 with that I also get web designing tool called Netscape Composer that tool was used to design Web Site.. I was not knowing what is use of that tool.. but after doing some R & D (Research and Development) on it, I came to know that it is used to Design and Develope Web Sites. After this I came to lots of Web Designing tools.. FrontPage, Dreamweaver, HotDog, CoffeCup... and lots.. But the Microsoft Visual InterDev is the 4th tool which I came to know. i.e. after dreamweaver. Actaully MS Visual InterDev tool I have having before Dreamweaver but I havent look at this tool, But than I fill that I need a software which help me in programming Web Sites so at that time I came to know about this tool. I know about this software since 2yrs.. i.e. 2000.
Installation: The Installation of this software is very easy.. that much easy as you are pressing keys on keyboard.
Userfriendly: This software is very userfriendly to the programmers as well as to Web Programmer but not much userfriendly to Web Designers. If you want to design your site you have to keep your screen resolution higher than the 800 x 600 that is why I am using Dreamweaver for designing the web sites. But this software is really very best for the Web Programming.. because it has rich IDE like a Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Visual J++.. Three IDE in one??? No there are not three IDE there are 6 IDE.. each IDE has its name.. and are as follows.. Design, Debug, DevStudio, EditHTML, FullScreen, VisualBasic by default it comes with the Design IDE. This all the IDEs having there own feature. This software is soo much userfriendly to the Programmers that it works on bases of VB only.. just put the . after some event and it will show you whole procedure.. If you want to know more just read my review on VB. You can select what you want to do.... you want to work on HTML page, ASP page, CSS page and other lots of types are there.
Menus: The menus provide in this software are very nice.. the menus are changes depends on what IDE you have selected and what type of page you have selected.
Frames: This software comes in to the four main frames.. Left side frame is known as Universal Tool (name given by me ;-) ) I dont no what it is saying but I say it as Universal tool.. this Tool is having three diffrent tabs HTML, Tools and Scripts... Middle frame is divided in to the two frames, 1st frame is used to write codes, design pages and to view the page that you have designed this frame is having three diffrent tabs.. Design, Source and Quick View.. and 2nd sub Frame is only of 1/2 ince and no use of it.. and third frame is divided in to the two sub frames.. Project Explorer and Properties.. Project Explorer contains the name of the pages you are working on.. and Properties window contains all the information about the object or the page you are working on.. you can change the property of object or page from this properties window.
For Whom: This software is for those Web Designer or those Web Programmer who wants to design Web Sites beyond the line.. coz this software is having such a rich feature that you can develope any type of sites that you can.. If you want to develope a site which is beyond the line then you use Visual InterDev. This software is for all of the web programmers and also for advanced web designer.. but If you are beginner than dont use this.. coz it makes you harder to see the screen as well as it will confuse you, as it is having lots of features.
Scripting: The most thing which I like in this software is, in the left pannel there is tab called Script.. in that script you can see diffrent types of objects, expand those objects by click on the plus sign and then you will see lots of things in it.. onClick event onMouseOut event and lots.. I like that feature specially, If you double click on the onClick event then it will automatically place the starting code on the page.. as default it will place Java Script but you can change it from property that which script this page is supporting? VBScript or Java Script...
Others: This software is having lots of things to do.. If you are planning to design the web page which collects the data from the page and stores it to the certain database than there are lots of options to use.. You can use direct control available in the toolbar or you can use it by coding.. mostly I prefer coding.. because coding makes page loading fast, But direct controls makes it easier for rogrammer but loading is slow.. This software is best for DHTML purpose also.. because all the HTML codes are in the colours so it is very easy to identify what is written. This software is also very usefull for CSS, because when you select CSS it will show you one dialog box from where you can apply properties to the web pages. This software is very best for Web Designer as well as Web Programmers.. so just go for it..
I always do programming for my site on this software only.. when you visit to my site you will the navigation menus those menus are also programmed using this software only.. Only designing of the site I do with dreamweaver..
