GraphicConverter is a Mac graphics software from Lemke Soft in Germany.

It is a shareware software so you can try it for as long as you want. It is updated very frequently, bugs are ironed out almost immediately.

This is a very capable graphics software, just like Photoshop, and it has many features to boot:

Imports about 160 graphic file formats

Exports about 45 graphic file formats

Batch conversion with additional actions (great feature) Slide show

Easy creation of optimized images for the internet AppleScript support

Support for the special features of MacOS 8, 9 and MacOS X

What I like best about this software?

1. This is shareware and only costs $29. of course you can continue using it forever without the software disabling any feature (isn't that nice).

   
   




2. If you buy the software you are eligible for free updates to any and all updates for free. I don't know of any company that does that. Most companies charge for upgrades.

   
   

A story: I was working with someone 2 oceans away, imagine that. The person created some web interfaces and I wanted some changes to be implemented. I could not explain my ideas to the person so, out comes GraphicConverter. I made 25-35 changes on the graphic that was sent to me in 5 minutes. I sent it back to the person over Yahoo! Messenger and the person was shocked at the number of changes, quality of work and the speed. I did my share of promoting the Mac and GraphicConverter. Go check it out.
