Fetch is a Macintosh FTP software created at Dartmouth College long time back.
I use version 3.0.3 and it works flawlessly.
Uses minimal RAM (859 KB), Hard Disk space occupied is less than 1MB. Great for all systems dating back from 68030 to G4's.
As soon as you open fetch, it gives you an option of filling in information to connect to a FTP server or you can choose from your bookmarks that you may have created.
Creating a bookmark takes 30 seconds if you have all the information handy.
Click on ''customize'', then on ''new shortcut''. Fill in the information to connect to a FTP host and save. Next time it will appear under the file menu.
When you connect to a host, the files appear in a one window interface divided into two parts. The left side lists all the files and folders, the size and when the file was last updated. You can put a software or get it by clicking on a file name and clicking ''Put'' or ''Get'' buttons on the interface. The right hand side of the window shows the file being uploaded/downloaded and the speed at which it is being uploaded/downloaded.
This is much better than WS-FTP for windows, which I have also used. If you are a Mac user go for it.
Great software for a great price.
Free for educational customers and charitable institutions. $25 for everybody else.
