We booked 2 cars from Zoom Car for a family trip to Banergatta National Park for about 10 people.
1.Order Id: JPS6219ST, Car: Honda Jazz, Free KM: 135, Time: 12:30 PM to 7 PM.
2.Order Id: JPS62192P, Car: Ford Ecosport, Free KM: 195 Time: 12:30 PM to 11:30 PM - this car was to be used to drop our relatives to the railway station, that's why drop off time is 11:30 pm.
At around 12:45, we picked up both cars from pickup location - Forum Value Mall, Whitefield and brought them to our place in Borewell roam(approx 2-3 Km from pickup location). At around 1:30 PM we all got ready for the trip and got into the cars.
Surprisingly, Ford Ecosport won't start. After trying many times and failing, we called the representative(Helpdesk) at the pickup location and informed him about our issue. He suggested calling customer care number.
We tried multiple times, but the call didn't go through. We also dropped some emails which weren't answered.
Dejected, we again called the help desk. He said that he will visit to analyze the issue. The helper checked the car and identified that the car is not starting as the battery is drained out and some issues with the starter. The helper had to jump start the car!
It was already 4:30 pm by then and the National Park closes at~5 PM.
So as it happened, we could not use both of the cars! Our complete day, my leaves were wasted and everyone was pissed off.
Helpdesk guy connected us to the support team on call & we explained the entire thing. We talked to multiple CSRs and their managers. After a lot of discussions, we agreed on following
We will get a full refund on Ford Ecosport as it was not used at all.
We will get some extra time for Honda Jazz a compensation to drop relatives to the station.
So, we took Honda Jazz to the station as it was the only option and dropped off both cars at the pickup location at around 9:30 PM.
After some days I got a communication from Zoom Car that there is an outstanding amount of Rs 920 for Honda Jazz and even there is no refund for Ford Eco Sport.
Even after explaining the whole thing to them again and again, they just say that they will look into it but never return with an update. And after a few days, they again send outstanding amount notification.
It was an extremely bad experience for us all, I would encourage you all to stop using Zoom Car services. They just make false promises to loot people.
