I booked Mercedez Benz on 3 occasions with Zoom car - but I was able to get the car only once. The main issue was they did not communicated to me that the car is not available even they know the previous day that the car met in an accident.
When I reached their they asked me to talk to customer care and I was told car is not available and alternate options(mahindra XUV) available in different location. I had to go to next location and they offered Mahindra XUV. The condition of XUV is very bad, but I had to no choice.
I wanted to give a second chance to Zoom car and again booked the same Mercedez, this time I got it on time.
3rd time, I opted for the same Mercedez and home delivery option at 08:30pm. Per their policy, the driver has to call 1 hr before(i.e.07:30pm). But I have not received the call and hence I contacted the CC(Customer care) around 07:45pm. They said that there is no policy to call before 1hr and they will reach at 08:30pm sharply. I never received any car or call or updates. By 08:30pm, my booking in the zoom car app got vanished. I made 4 to 5 calls to CC and I never got any reasonable response(The call used to disconnect automatically). By 09:15 pm when I called them, they finally revealed the truth that the car I booked is not available. Also, no alternate options available. I have never seen an idiotic response from any CC. I booked this A class to pick my Dad & Mom from airport at 09:20pm. Finally ended up booking cab and my parents has to wait for 1 hr in airport for me.
Zoomcar gave me 500rs driving credit & apology. Also, they refunded the booking amount less 300rs to my wallet. Not sure why they took 300rs. Need to talk to CC again, but I hate spending time with Zoom car CC again.
I was new to Chennai and though I no need to own a car since Zoom car is better than owning a car. But, you made me realize owning a car is required in India.
Zoom car is a very nice business plan, but they do not have back-up plan. They think that giving back the driving credit for not meeting user needs will help them to retain users like me. But, it will not. Sorry Zoom car. I never had any worst experience on any products like this. I am a king of person who give 5 star out of 5, but u don't deserve even 0 star.
Pros of Zoom Car -
No deposit, no fuel fee, no insurance fee.
Low price compared to peers.
They provide driving Credits back for any mistakes from them.
Cons of Zoom Car
You will not receive any communication from zoom car if the car is not available. Hence, you will not be able to plan for a trip. This overides all benefits.
They do not have any back-up cars available(i.e. 0 inventory) to manage sudden disasters.
Car quality(exterior) is very poor.
Customer care is not reachable during needs(call disconnects automatically).
