ZOOMCAR IS A SCAMSTER AT WORK. THEY ARE FRAUDS.
The car that was given to me was unclean, had major body dents. It looked like it had just been back from a long trip. Zoom car assistant filled up my checklist for me. MY big mistake. I guess he ticked the car to be in a mint condition which was not. I had to travel over 1000 km, so asked him if it been well maintained and serviced. He said it's in perfect condition. I had my reservations. But guess what, I had traveled over 1000kms to start the trip and I was very excited. I was sure that there wouldn't be immediate vehicle replacements. I decided to go ahead with the vehicle. I trusted them. BIG MISTAKE.
I had thick white smoke coming from my bonnet 3rd day(700 km since start) into my trip. I stopped and informed ZoomCar. After hours they towed the vehicle back. I had unused miles on my trip and unused fuel in the vehicle. Customer care told they will revert after an internal investigation. I had aged companions with me. Neither did they provide any service nor did they assist us on our way back. I had to hire a private taxi back to my destination all on my own expense.
Two days later I had a shock of my life. I was told that the smoke was due faulty driving. What? Like really? They said their conclusion is based on OEM recommendation. I asked them to share the report, which they refused. There is no transparency. They will unilaterally decide what the issue is and charge you. I was charged Rs 10000 flat. no proof and back up. No one will respond to your queries. Your money down the drain.
Note that the trip had ended prematurely and I had filled excess fuel. Should they not refund or rather adjust the money for this on a pro-rata basis? Customer care was least interested and was rude.
There are a lot of such cases as I am reading through in different forums. So beware. The terms and conditions are shady and more often than not you will accept it without even reading.
I recommend that you not use their services. The hassles you will face after will overshadow the fun you would have had in your trip.
DO NO USE ZOOM CAR SERVICE. ITS A SCAM.
