Zimbabwe Cricket on the Brink of DISASTER

It is being said that no less than 12 players including the irreplaceable champion cricketer Heath Streak will be dropped from the Zim team. Taibu is the unanimous choice to replace Streak as the captain.

I have nothing against Black players playing as I myself am brown. But if anybody says that Zimbabwe can do better under Taibu's captaincy who has just got out of his teens must be either joking or under the influence of alcohol.

It has been reported that as much as dozen WHITE people are going to be dropped. It was specifically mentioned dozen white players and not dozen players. This is a new kind of racial discrimination happening in Zimbabwe where the blacks are discriminating against the whites . I rate Taibu very high as a future international but he really is not a person who can handle Zimbabwe which is still in the process of rebuilding. The unassuming Streak, an outstanding all rounder, to say the least, was the only person who was holding the crumbling Zimbabwe after the retiring of big time players, such as , Andy Flower, Campbell, Andy Whitall and Johnson.

It is quite evident to people who dont even follow Zimbabwe cricket that the Mugabe Government is not only destroying the country but also the way cricket has been played in Zimbabwe over the years.

Now, dont be surprised if teams like Bangladesh and Kenya start beating Zimbabwe consistently. If that happens the Mugabe Govt and the ZCU (Zimbabwean Cricket Union) should be blamed and Zimbabwe should be banned from International cricket with immediate effect. It is truly not fair to the emerging talent in Zimbabwe. But harsh decisions calls for harsh measures.

ICC has to take over now and negotiate with the Zimbabwean Govt as this is going nowhere.

Even being a loyal Indian cricket supporter I love to follow cricket being played in every nook and corner of the world as much as I can.

We all want to see a fighting Zimbabwean team that usually gives every top test cricket playing nation a run for its money. Don't We ?

P.S: Call me a Cricket mad fan if you want because I am. :-)
