I recently occupied an apartment recently in which Zicom 4" B/W video door phone with handset was been installed by the Builder. This installation is not even 6 months old. There was some issue with wiring in out unit( I guess) and the camera and mic has stopped working. So when I contacted the builder, I was asked to contact one of the Zicom sales guys who sold the connection.
When I called the sales guy for the society(almost 200+ sets have been purchased by the builder in this society), the sales guy simply says that the set is outside warranty. How can Zicom just say that the sets are outside warranty without even visiting the place? My builder stated that Zicom would come and resolve the issue and has spoken along with me to the Zicom person on phone. Zicom has failed to send any person.
I "did not think helpline was helpful" as when I called the helpline, they are not even able to help me if the box was under warranty as per their records or not If I state that I can provide the serial number of the box. The set if installed first time works fine, its good. Otherwise consumer needs to run for service.
