YU is a sub company of Micromax and making phones past 2 years. They gained success in their budget phones and now they introduced their flagship model the Yu Yutopia with a Tagline - Worlds most powerful phone . But it is not worth the tagline quote and the price tag .
Display:
The display of Yutopia is 5.2 inches 1440* 2560 with 565 ppi and the display is good but if compared to the phones of same segment and much lower pruce tag then the Yutopia display lacks and looks weak in front of them . The quality of the screen, the colours, the saturation are not upto the mark.
Design and built :
The design of the Yutopia is same as its younger and much budget friendly phone the Yuphoria. Only the screen size has been increased. Yu should have worked upon on the design of Yutopia as buyers expect a much premium design if they spend Rs 25K on a phone. The old designs should not be carry forwaded. The phones built quality seems decent but again not up to the mark and expectations.
Performance :
Yutopia has 2.0 Ghz Qualcomm snapdragon 810 processor and 4 GB of RAM which is a very good combination but I dont know why but the Yutopia does not perform as it should when we look on its specifications. It does medium multitasking but lags a lot when we play high graphics game and Apps simultaneoulsy on it. The phone also heats up a lot from back which makes holding the phone a bit problamatic.
While other phones in same category with much lower specs performs much better than the Yu yuphoria.
Camera and Battery :
The Rear Camera of Yutopia is a 21 MP and front is 8MP. The photos in daylight comes good but the camera department lacks in night time photos. The over bright flash makes photos too much bright which does not look natural .But The Selfie camera is good and doea its work.
The battery is a 3000 Mah and it drains with the end of the day. When compared to the screen and tge performance the battery should have been provided more powerful , something around 4000 Mah because the price at which it comes the battery capacity should have been more.
So my final verdict about the Yutopia is that if the price of Yutopia would have been under Rs 18000 then this phone could be considered to buy but the price tag is around 25K which according to me is very high and you get much better devices in that price range. So you should avoid Yutopia.
