Hi, I'm Praveen Daniel, I'm a Yezdi/ Jawa Collector.
For those who have read my Roadking review, will know my love affair with Yezdi. Any ways, I fell in love with Yezdi bikes when I was 5 or 6 yrs old. I used to see my uncle ride a Yezdi Classic(1984 model). wanted to own one, then had a chance to own a roadking. Now at 28yrs I started collecting Yezdi and Jawa. I own 6 of them as on date - 2 RK, 1-(1977) Model B, 1 Classic, 1 Classic II and a Jawa.
Out of my collection of yezdi, one of my favourite is the Classic. I like it simply because of its looks and the old points ignition engine. If you know how to handle a Yezdi then its easy to maintain a Yezdi. The Classic is a real good bike, has great pickup, excellent ride and the best part is almost zero maintenance(other the service cost). May be thats the reason why they used this bike in old movies for stunts. I use my bike regularly. It rides like a new even today. Almost every third traffic light in Bangalore, someone or the other askes me about the bike or keeps looking at it. I feel like king at that time.
Okay now to Pros and Cons
Pro - Excellent ride, Very Good(points) engine. Very stable, Not much maintenance.
Cons - Poor mileage(its not so bad). other then that nothing bad.
Yezdi lovers will agree with me - Who cares of mileage, when you love a Yezdi. Its like a costly girlfriend. hahahah Joking.
