I visited yercaud with my family recently. It is one of the good hill station place which was located on the salem district.
We traveled through train and we had a direct train to reach yercaud.
We can even travel through bus, train or even by plane. Generally trains will be available till salem and sometimes we may get direct train also.
Climate was really good in yercaud which was a hill station so it was cool and it was perfectly good!
We had several places to visit there. and I share my personal experience here:
Big lake which was located at the center of the hill station. It is a kind of a pleasant place where boating option is also available. It was quite neat and it is well maintained. We can spend our evening time in this place which will be completely a perfect relax time.
Kiliyur falls which is one of the awesome falls in yercaud. We should be very careful to reach this place. It was not completely developed so the water level should also be checked and we can spend our time nicely.
Rose garden which is one of the best for rose lovers. Several varieties of roses were planted and it will be a treat to our eyes. Entry fees was around 30rs which was quite normal.
Deer peak is one of the average place there which was located near the lake. Here we can see some animals like deer, peacock, etc.
Shevaroy temple which was the very good place to visit in the morning. This was located at the top of the hill. It was completely clean and it is well maintained. One of the peaceful place.
Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple which was completely well maintained and it is also the best place to worship.
Still there were several places to visit in yercaud. Plan for 3 to 4 day trip which will be completely enough to visit all the places in yercaud.
Accommodation we had on "Golden nest resorts" which was a perfect resort with all the required facilities like clean restaurant, internet facility, etc. The price of this hotel was normal an it is adorable.
Yercaud is also the safety place but we should also take of our own personal safety.
