I recently had the worst booking experieince with Yatra.com which I never experienced booking through so many other travel portals this many years.
I booked a flight on 7th March 2016 from Chennai to Trivandrum(Two Flights Chennai to Cochin 6E 298 and Cochin to Trivandrum 6E 315) through Yatra.com(Booking Reference Number - 0703168769111877, PNR G5CCJV) for the travel date 30th April 2016 for me, my wife and son(infant). When I reached the Chennai Airport for the travel, the checkin officials told me the infant ticket is not included in the second flight and my son can't make the second travel without booking another ticket for him for Rs.1000.
I was surprised that in the Yatra.com ticket they had mentioned all the passengers and how come they miss one passenger while making the booking and that too the infant. I told the Indigo person that it won't be possible missing the infant and asked him to contact Yatra.com for the clarification. But he was not ready for doing anything and asked me pay the infant fare if I want to take him in the second flight. I paid the fare and made the travel.
Later on 5th May 2016, I called Indigo to mention about this issue and they informed me that it was a wrong charge from their end and they reversed the fare of Rs.1000 to Yatra.com to pay back to me. I called Yatra.com customer care and we had a conference call with Indigo team and concluded that the refund made to Yatra.com of Rs.1000 will be paid back to me.
Next day, I received sms from Yatra.com saying that Rs.542 is refunded. I again called Yatra.com and the customer care team is saying that only Rs.542 will be refunded and remainning money is 300 Rs eCash and 158 Rs deducted for the discount gave me during the booking. We again had a conference call with the Indigo team and me and the Indigo person tried to convey the Yatra.com person 100 times that this money is no way included in the booking made through them. All the ticket was used without modfying anything from the Yatra.com ticket and this money is purely a reversal of the wrongly charged fee that too the passenger paid by Cash at the Aiport.
In that amount, no eCash was applied or no discount was given. Then how come in the refund this all amount gets applicable and the money gets reduced. The Indigo person and me was tired explaining this 100 times to the Yatra.com person but he was not ready to do anything. In turn, Yatra.com wants my Rs.458 which is no way related to them. The Indigo handed over the phone to their senior official and he also told the Yatra.com person to pay the refund amount fully to the customer, but of no use.
The worst booking experience from a travel portal, I ever had in my whole life.
