I purchased a return Air Ticket thru Yatra.com on January 3rd, 07 for the following dates and sectors:
Date of travel: 21/02/07: Blr- Mum by Air Deccan(DN 663)
Return: 25/02/07: Mum- Blr by Air Sahara(S2 215)
The above ticket was made via Netbanking(which proved to be a huge disaster as the website was not working but the money was debited from my account). After repeated efforts by a certain employee, I did get my tickets and mnage to close that issue.
However, I had to cancel the ame due to personal reasons on 14th Feb, 07.
*This is where the problem started.
I was promised that my refund of Rs. 2354 would be credited to my savings account in 15 days time. At the beginning, I was shocked as to how an Online company needs 15 days time to give refunds. Its certainly not that a huge amount that they need RBI clearance for the same.
Anyways, so 15 days went by and there was no news on the credit in my account. I made repeated calls and finally some employees (one of them claimed to be a supervisor) told me that the issue will definitely be resolved by 17th March end of day.
It has been more than a month since I cancelled the tickets but I haven't seen any ray of hope to this problem.
What is more frustrating is that there is absolutely no coordination bw the employees so if you are the unlucky one who gets caught up in this whole refund thing, they will easily say " Sir, Ms. X comes in the morning shift, I come in afternoon shift and Mr. Y comes in evening shift and since all were involved in your booking, I need to coordniate with everyone else to check what's happening." I was amazed at the pace of coordniation. I am sure 15 days is a good enough time to coordinate with colleagues who work in the same building for the same company.
Today, I wrote a mail to support@yatra.com, cancellations@yatra.com and also the co founders: Mr. Dhruv Shringi and Mr. Manish Amin hoping something will come out of this whole mess.
I use to think that Yatra was a good site providing adequate customer service but clearly I was wrong.
*I have learnt that no matter happens, I am not bookings any tickets via this site ever again.Btw, did I mention that I work for a global company(in top 3 worldwide in it's industry).I guess if Yatra reads this, they might just want to estimate the loss of potential cistomers.
