It was a second very bad and sad experience for me and my family with Yashoda Hospital after the death of my father in May 2018.
My Mother at home fell down in the bathroom on 1st sept 2020 and we called a doctor home so that he could check her first, the doctor informed us that she got paralytic attack and gave few medicines for time being till we take her to any hospital. Then afterward we consulted another reputed Doctor of Nursing Home where one of my family member took other treatment and recovered one year back. we informed my Doctor about the patient(my Mother) health condition and Doctor agreed to treat the patient and asked us to get the CT Scan done first and send the report by whatsapp for prescribing the medicine over phone . In the CT Scan it was found that there was a blood clot in the brain. Sri Krishna CT Scan called our Doctor immediately and informed about the blood clot in the brain. As there was bleeding in the brain our Doctor strongly recommended to take her to Yashoda Hospital immediately as advanced machines are available there under one roof. As our earlier experience was not good with Yashoda, first we said no for Yashoda, then our doctor said that there is nothing to worry because one of his Neuro Surgeon friend is there and referred the case to him for good and best treatment with medicine and assured best treatment and care of the patient properly and assured that he will personally take updates on daily basis. My mother was a diabetic patient 83 years old, we took her to Yashoda on 2nd Sept 2020 it as 13.00 hrs in the noon, she was taken to emergency and kept unattended till 1500 hrs. Admission was given at 1500 hrs but due to the missing of file patient could not be shifted to ICU till 1800 hrs. In ICU also patient was kept unattended for nearly 2 hrs. Only when I asked, when patient will be attended for treatment, then only staff came in action and given the connection to the monitor(displaying respiratory rate/saturation). We brought the mother for CT Scan with not much amount. Then when doctor advised us to take her immediately to Yashoda, we went to hospital directly from scan centre with whatever amount we had. We were asked to contact billing section where they asked me to deposit Rs.1.00 Lakh. I was having Rs.35000 and ready to pay the amount but there was a person by name MR Sharma refused to take the cash and asked to pay Rs.1.00 lakh immediately and rudely said that if you dont have amount, then take back your patient to any other hospital. He was very very rude and telling himself as Manager. My mother was a diabetic and 83 years old if any surgury was done on her she would take too much time to recover or wouldn't recover at all, They insisted on us for tracheotomy and to put her on ventilator and they gave us no assurance nor any hope. In the name of counseling they tortured us by continuously asking us to give consent to put the patient on ventilator and to go aggressively for tracheotomy. On 7th night I am called for counceling where another two doctors joined and informed that patient condition is serious and need to be shifted to Ventilator and tracheotomy for easying the breathing. These doctors never visited my patient during 6 days of treatment then how they can call for counceling. They recorded the statement and taken my signature for taking responsibility for any untoward happening. These are tactics used by the hospital doctors to make us to agree for ventilator/surgery, so as to increase the billing amount on discharge. On the seventh day when we have not agreed for ventilator/tracheotomy, they advised us to take the patient to some other hospital. we decided to shift her to another hospital so that she could be on oxygen support there with less financial loss. They deliberately in their discharge summery stated that she is COVID SUSPECT(CORAD 3). Although she was kept in a non covid ICU and a non covid Stepdown ward for 7 days and her reports stated that she was a covid negative patient at the time of admission. Because of this one statement in the discharge summery we couldn't admit her in Secunderabad Nursing home and another two hospital in the vicinity. Hospitals refused to give admission because of this melacious report. . We have spent aprox Rs4.00 lakhs in yashoda during treatment and the patient became just worse that before. If they say her age is 83 yrs and recovery chances are less then such agedly people should not be admitted in the hospital, just for taking their life and minting money with the life of aged people. Thankfully on 8th sept(evening) VINN hospital in begumpet admitted the patient and kept on oxygen support. As per their protocol they sent the blood sample for covid 19 test and the report was NEGATIVE.
Yashoda Hospital is growing with poor Peoples money. This was not our first bad experience with yashoda hospital. My father was also admitted and lost his life because of such attitude of the hospital policy. We did not want to admit my mother in yashoda but we were given the affirmation on taking care of her by a known doctor.
The doctors may be nice or may not be, but the Hospital administration only mints money and has no humanity at all.
The doctors also act as if they are helpless and have to follow the hospitals protocols having no humanity at all. At any cost they could just increase the patients Cost while billing but they are so stingy on their humanity.
If this review helps, our whole family will be grateful. We have gone through a lot in the past 7 days emotionally, mentally, financially. This review is for people who could stand in the same positions as ours. Please do not take chances by taking your loved ones to YASHODA HOSPITALS.
STAY AWAY FROM YASHODA AND BE SAFE.
