This is based on last few experiences I had shopping with Firstcry.com. I am living in Pune and Firstcry.com origin of shipment for most of the items is the same city.
So whenever I am shopping they will show me a delivery date the same day or the day next. Once the order gets confirmed, I will soon get an sms saying that the order has been given to their courier partner XpressBees, then the fun begins.
On the date promised for delivery, XpressBees will sent an sms in the morning saying that the shipment is “Out for delivery, please be available to receive”. No one will come that day, evening if you check the status in the XpressBees tracking you can see “Door locked”, ”Address Incomplete”, “Shipment Missroute” etc. But the very next day, they will deliver the shipment to the same address without even calling me and asking the route. So the real thing is, they are not able to do the delivery on time and they are simply fooling the customer giving silly reasons.
Now this is happening for me for the third time. The most recent order(Order Number:1326OJX1507840, XpressBees AWB No.:117H306012885), the same thing happened. Firstcry.com promised the same day delivery(Delivery Estimate: 29 Aug 2015) when I ordered, but I got the order the next day(30 Aug 2015).
I called Firstcry.com two times regarding this issue. They are agreeing that the fault is with them and with their delivery partner and apologizing for the same, but on the other side, they are not ready to do anything even changing the delivery partner even after this many repeated complaints. Every time, they will apologize you and the same thing repeats. So please don’t believe the delivery date promised by Firstcry.com, it’s only a date to make you purchase and they will never stick to those dates.
