Xiaomi Mi A1 is the phone from chinese smartphone maker xioami which was launched in September 2017 in India.The main highlights of this phone is Android One.It is a Android One device that means its software is powered by Google itself. While it is manufactured by Xioami but its Android OS will be powered by Google & it will be updated regularly upto Android P as promised by the company.I have also bought this Xioami Mi A1 so here I will share my experience of using it for 2 months & will tell its pros & cons briefly.
Pros / specifications-
Have Android 7.1.2 out of the box
Getting security updates regularly ( also got December'17 security update at the time of writing this review)
At hardware level its also good as it have good specifications of 4GB of RAM & 64 internal memory
It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 64 bit octa core 2GHZ processor
It has 12 MP + 12MP dual rear camera & 5MP rear camera
Has full HD display with screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels
Have 401 graphics PPI with screen size of 5.5 inch
Battery capacity of 3080 mAh
Have hybrid sim slot
Have fingerprint sensor along with ambient light sensor , gyroscope, hall sensor , proximity sensor , accelerometer.Also have e-compass
One thing to be noted that it has USB type -C port
Have Good speaker volume & support 3.5 mm audio jack
Battery life is ok for normal usage it depending on the use actually I personaly have to charge it two times a day
Cons based on my usage -
Phone hangs many times even on normal use may be with no reason then I have to restart it by switching it off to work fine
Has many bugs at software level like some apps give error message of stopping even they have not been started
Phone sometimes works slow & hangs because it has Snapdragon 625 chipset
Quality of selfie camera is very poor especially in low light, it is 5MP camera but it gives feel of 2MP
Unable to find the Temepered glass of the phone exactly fitting screen size of phone after searching in market ( also online ) for two days thoroughly
Built quality is not so strong as its sim slot loosens up after little bit of usage.Phone is light but it should be strongly bulit
Colour combination is not good its white from front & gold from behind not golden from both side which looks odd which I dont like
A big disadvantage is you dont get earphones after spending 15k( I bought on this price ) on this phone.
Overall the phone is ok if you like stock Android experience.The phone has many cons but also many pros also.But its overall good at the price range of 15k( at which I bought) but recently it get cheaper by 1k or 2k at 13kor 14k by select offers. Overall phone is ok to be considered as it has good price range , hardware & stock OS. So one can like this phone as according to his requirements, needs .
But based my usage I will give only 2/5 stars from my side to this phone as it hangs many times.
