Its Icing on the Cake. Review on Writing Reviews on MouthShut

Well, before beginning the review on the above-mentioned theme, I took the advantage of going through the reviews of some of The Best Writers on the MS.Though there is not much left to write on this topic for our predecessors have already suggested us the best. Yet I dare to write about it believing that we all have our own ways of expression & presentation.

I came across MS by chance & found it very interesting. On May 1st this yr I fell for MS(yeah it was love at first sight.hahaa.). I have seen people start worrying if they get addicted to drugs, alcohol or Gutka etc. But here I m worried about MYSELF as I m getting addicted to Mouthshut. GOD Save Me! How? Well, no idea.

MAY BE I HAVE TO SHUT MY EYES THAN THE MOUTH!

(No way. its like an everyday dose of Breakfast/lunch/ dinner)

Anyways, let me not to bore you people for long and come to the point.

Yes writing reviews on Mouthshut is like Icing on the cake. The MS is giving us the possibility to explore our writing skills and get them reviewed by other members of the site.

The best part of it is the analysis done by other members. This is the correct way of polishing one's skills still better day by day.The rating system makes it more competent because it not only encourages you to write better with each review but also gives you the feeling of self -satisfaction. The Comments Area is the best because it gives you an opportunity to find the Strong and Weak points in one's review.

Tips to be kept in mind while writing a review on any product:(this is something very personal opinion which may differ from others)

1. First-of-all, go thru all the topics MS offers and make a list(not necessarily in writing) what all fields appeal you the most.

Check out for the Current Topic, interests you the most, if that is the case, GET-SET-GO.

To elaborate it more, surf through the MS Opinions Wanted category and check for what exactly MS is looking for. This is of great help as one can easily organise the review before sending it on the MS for publishing.

1. Recall whatever you know about the product, let your brain exercise the most, this is the moment when you can test the capability of your brain & memory. If at all, something is forgotton go through the material related to the product.It can be brochures(if some consumer products), photographs(if related to travelling), web sites(if something related to programming or any other data), your notes(if something thats about books/literature)& ofcourse need not to mention your personal experiences, incidents we add from time to time from our life.

   
   




2. Once, you feel that you have collected all the material needed, start writing the review.Begin with an introductory phase first, give a brief introduction of the product using simple, legible language followed by the Body of your review devided in small paragraphs.

   
   




3. Body of a review is the most important and the crucial phase. Its like one's spinal cord that bears whole weight of our body. Hence, it should be written with clear objective, based on your own experiences. Let your review follows your sincere and transparent opinion on the product. Ofcourse you can go through others reviews as well on the same topic, but make it sure that you don't copy it instead express yourself in your own words.

   
   

It is here one is suppose to elaborate the product to the maximum giving examples from your own experience, eg. if one is writing, say about some electronic goods like Oven or may be fridge by Samsung / LG, you must be capable of giving the example how do you find the product after using it personally. Just don't follow what others have to say. Better be your ownself by giving a very sincere opinion.

1. Once the body part is done, go to the Conclusion. It should have your say on whether you would like to recommend the product or not, If YES, give reasons. If NOT, give reasons what lacks the product. This is a delicate section of your review because others may take your opinion seriously and decide about it accordingly. Therefore, be sincere to the conclusions you make.

   
   




2. Now is the moment when one should edit the review. After the writing part is over, go through the review till you are satisfied about the information you have provided. Make changes wherever you feel to do so. Check the spellings, grammar.It gives an over-all impression about the person if you are careful about these minor things.

   
   




3. So, are you ready to publish your review? Go through it once again to take the final glimpse of it, if you feel its the right time, then don't wait. Let others read and rate the review and better comment on it.

   
   




4. Comments section is something that gives you more and more confidence with each review because this is where you are getting praised or criticised for your expressions.

Even the presentation may differ.One should be prepared to face criticism and welcome it with open arms as it helps you to exploit your own capabilities and writing skills.One should accept criticism with the same enthusiasm as we accept good words from fellow writers.

Always comment on the reviews you read for this helps you to express your feelings about other's writings and it brings a Beautiful Smile on their lips. This is another way of making others happy/smile.
