The wonder boys.
I remember watching the title song by Bob Dylan (''things have changed'') and saying to myself that this is one movie I definitely want to see. I got that chance in feb 2004, when HBO aired the movie.
I think the movie is a fascinating one, following a few days in the life of a professor of English. The professor is a ''has been'' author. In his class is an eccentric student. The movie follows how the two of them get stuck in a tight spot together, how the professor helps the young student with his book, and how the professor makes a big decision in his love life.
The professor is played Michael Douglas in a captivating performance. The eccentric student is played by Toby Maguire of Spiderman fame.
I think what makes the movie such an attention grabbing one, is the great musical score. The best song of the movie in my opinion is things have changed by bob dylan.
''People are crazy, times are strange,
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range.
I used to care, but...
Things have changed.''
The movie is also very funny in parts. All in all a must watch.
