Recently bought a Whirlpool 240L Frost Free Triple Door Refrigerator through Flipkart. It was the worst experience ever. Firstly the product was delivered 2 days late. During the unboxing we found some minor scratches on the body, which was unpleasant but we ignored it. Flipkart assigned us an engineer who was supposed to come the next day, but took another 3 days to come.
We were already frustrated with the delivery, but the casual attitude of Whirlpool towards their customers is just unbearable. The customer service is useless, when the installation engineer was 2 days late to come, we tried contacting customer service, but they too, like us, were helpless. They kept telling us to be calm and that the engineer should be on his way.
After the engineer finally arrived and installed the fridge, we thought finally the frustrations would end, we couldn't be more wrong. Just a few days after the installation the refrigerator started to show its true colors. The cooling was inconsistent, it would just stop cooling without any warnings. There would be days, when we woke up to spoiled foods and milk. No cooling, too much sound and much more. The technician filled the gas 2 times and twice changed the thermostat. But nothing seemed to solve the problem. Our issues neither the company nor the technician are able to solve or give us a valid reason for the problems and sort the issue.
We would need a technician every other week. During the entire ordeal, the customer service was hopeless. They knew nothing about the product nor were they concerned about our problem. Since the fridge was under warranty, all these services have been free of cost. Though I'm afraid that ones the warranty period has passed, these constant services are going to cost me a fortune.
Please do not purchase any Whirlpool products as their quality control must be appalling for me to have received a defective item, and their after-sale support is just too bad.
