I have purchased Whirlpool 702 FDBM refrigerator on 24/6/2016 and it was working great since I bought this. It stopped cooling on 28/8/2020 and I contacted customer service and scheduled an appointment to service the machine. The service technician visited on 28/8/2020 and 29/8/2020 and he was able to found out the problem. There was a hole in the cooling coil thereby the gas has been disposed of. He said he was going to order the cooling coil on the same day. There was another service technician and in charge of different service center came and they told me that the part might be available somewhere in north India and it might take up to 10 days to get in here.
I have contacted Mr. Moorthy ( ASM, Coimbatore, mobile number 903061xxxx) to inform you that I could not wait that long. He said he would call me in a couple of hours. He did call me and gave me an option to pick a new refrigerator and I agreed to pay the price difference. I have chosen Whirlpool WS Quatro 677 Saturn Steel and transferred the difference (as we both agreed according to the depreciation for 4 years) to Whirlpool of India's current account and it has been confirmed by Moorthy that Whirlpool received the money.
I received the new refrigerator on 8/9/2020 and they didn’t issue the receipt and warranty card. When I started to use the new refrigerator, it was extremely hot( intolerable heat with heat waves) on both sides, particularly in 6th sense mode. It was so scary because I never had this kind of experience with my old refrigerator. I registered a complaint and the service engineer ( Mohan Kumar Mobile number 76678 8xxxx) and the service technician came to check and they said it is normal. But, we cannot tolerate the heat produced from this refrigerator. Moorthy registered a complaint and came with another technician on 17/09/20 to check the outer temperature of the fridge. They brought ST-1A digital thermometer ( as per the technical department of Whirlpool) to check the temperature. ST-1A can be used to check the temperature of cold storage and inside cabinet temperature of the refrigerator. The technical department doesn’t know how to measure the temperature of a surface. The temperature measured was 36.9 degrees instead of 52 degrees Celsius on one side and 33.5 instead of 46 on the other side. On 23/09/20, I had been informed by Dinesh Kumar( Branch Service Manager, Mobile720000xxxx ) that the refrigerator is in normal condition. The way he informed me was like he didn’t take my issues to his head office.I requested the email of his head office so that I can write my concerns to Whirlpool. But, he told me to send an email to the help desk.

Please don’t buy Whirlpool products. It is a cheating company with cheating employees.
Update:
I have received a letter from whirlpool on 12/02/2021 and it said that the new refrigerator is working fine. It also said whirlpool would like to refund of 68, 080 ( I have paid INR 80, 100 to buy the new fridge )towards my new refrigerator. Even though I have informed whirlpool about the issue immediate next day of delivery, they didn’t want to take of the issue and now they want to deal with my case.According to their “ best possible solution”, there is a depreciation on my old refrigerator(41, 600) and depreciation on new refrigerator (17, 020). I still wouldn’t be able to understand why they wanted to prolong until now and put depreciation and refund 68, 080. According to them, the refrigerator is working fine and why would they offer for a refund. I clearly mentioned in my email that i don’t want a refund, but replacement with new refrigerator and I will not pay anything including delivery charges. Also, I made my point very clear not to send those kind of “best possible solution “in the future other than replacement with a new refrigerator of same kind with no additional cost.
