I purchased a Whirlpool Magicool AC 0.8T unknowingly that it is an Inverter AC. Just After 1 year when the warranty on AC is over. it started showing E8 on display.
That is an error code showing malfunctioning of Outdoor PCB. Restarted it and worked. It stopped working few days later. Indoor PCB can be fixed by spending Rs. 500 but it works for only 7 days or a month maximum with occasional E8 error.
So I wanted a permanent solution; the mechanic told the cost of replacing Outdoor PCB module(with built in sensor) is Rs. 16000
If you spend another 10, 000 and you will get a new AC.
Inverter AC is a ‘trap’ like inkjet Printer where cartridge cost is more than the printer! All with inverter AC are suffering in my friend circle.
