WhatApp is No. 1 paid social networking app on Google play, with more than 200 million monthly active users. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia.
Earlier we use to pay Rs. 1 for local text SMS, Rs. 1.50 for National SMS & Rs. 5 for international SMS. But WhatsApp allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends.
In addition to basic messaging WhatsApp allow users to create groups, send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages. WhatsApp also lets you send and receive phone calls, however, these calls are placed through your mobile carrier.
WhatsApp uses blue arrows to indicate whether your message was delivered and read. Also you can see when your friend is typing.
