Hey people, now a days when you talk to any one and take their number don't you first ask them "hey, are you on whatsapp". If you come to know that the person doesn't use it then you suddenly make a perception that this person is way behind when it comes to technology, isn't it?
Well, lets now praise whatsapp a bit here. I surely agree that unlike any other social media, whatsapp app on android, iOS and whatsapp web on Windows has changed a way we communicate.
We chat that's messaging, we call that's either a voice or a video call, we attach files of which most formats are supported, we update our status for people to know about us, we make a group or we create a broadcast for huge number of people to get a single message at the same time.
Whatsapp is now increasing. People were also using it for business purposes, but now whatsapp has also launched another app called "Whatsapp Business" for making it a lot easier to keep personal and professional chats separately plus it also gives new features to people who would install it.
Everything has its pros and cons. At time getting a lot of messages can be disturbing or distracting, but you can mute them.
I would suggest using it upto a limit instead of getting addicted. If you are able to gain something like a business then it's fine but do not overdo things.
