“WAITING”.CAPSULE PREVIEW

Love, life, laughs, grief, anguish, hope have an universal appeal, hence

redefined in this poignant drama called“Waiting”.

Makers of high content and intelligent cinema like “Ankhon Dekhi” and “Masaan”, Drishyam films/Manish Mundra bring another endearing comic n witty drama . It shall be intriguing to watch supremely dependable Nasiruddin Shah at the helm of the affairs .Sharing the screen with him is bubbly and refreshing Kalki Koechlin. A May- December casting could bring some fireworks in expressionism.

Directed by Anu Menon(London, Paris, New york), movie looks like a tale of two different strangers of a yawning age gap from two different worlds. The films revolves around a stumbled friendship between two individuals brought to a common space by destiny. It is ensembled with talented costars like Rajat Kapur, Suhasini Manirathnam(debut) and Arjun Mathur.

The film is widely acclaimed in various international film festivals like Dubai International film festival, London Asian Film Festival and the Indian film festival of Los Angeles.

The film has a very strong reference point to a hollywood film “Lost in Translation” where two people from absolutely from two different spaces/worlds find each other company comforting .

Nasiruddin shah is as effective always and Kalki”S cuss words really sound wonderful.”Waiting” surely should have all the ingredients of a decent cinema reaching wide for audience hearts.

The film is scheduled for its theatrical release on 27th May 2016 in India.
