I have purchased a Voltas 1.5 T split top end model in year 2014. The AC is quite good in its performance but in our locality there is a lot of voltage fluctuation. So it was recommended to go for a voltage stabilizer and afterwards its doing its job. But just after a year of use the AC is not working. The service engineer told me the condenser might have a leakage and the refrigerants are leaking. He also added if it would have copper fins in stead of Aluminum fins, it could be repaired.
And now what is the cost? it costs me 11000 Rs for changing the condenser. So please be careful when you buy the AC. The condenser must of copper fins. It dose not matter how premium it looks or which model it is.
From that day I noticed even smaller AC companies are giving copper fins but voltas did not give this even in the premium models.
SO BE CAREFULL!
