I had purchased a Voltas 1.5 ton window A/C model no. 185 DX on 26th March 2014 from an authorised store in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. The unpacking and installation of the AC was done by Voltas representatives. On opening the packaging, they discovered that the front grill of the AC is broken.
They asked me to call the customer care to register a complaint, which I did that day itself. A couple of days later, a few guys from Voltas turned up, clicked a few pictures of the broken grill and promised that they will come back in a few days with the correct piece. But no one turned up.
Aghast, I called up the customer care again 3 weeks later. Again they they sent over a couple of guys who again clicked a few pictures and went back, but nothing happened again. Today I called up the customer care and they said that they are still unable to find a replacement.
I have absolutely no idea what Voltas is doing for the last 2 months. Either they should replace the defective part, or else replace the AC.
