BIRTH OF MOBILE: Initially my service provider was Airtel. Service was postpaid. I found that the provider used to levy unnecessary charges every time in all the bills.
FIRST CHANGE AND BIRTH OF 9999168853: Getting fed up & no proper response from AIRTEL I changed the operator(also the number as there was no portability at that time) from Airtel to HUTCH later merged with Vodafone. But this time service I kept as prepaid. Mobile number 9999168853 was born.
SERVICE OF VODAFONE: Overall he service was satisfactory. But around my residence & some other points either there was no signal or improper service. I used to complain. They will promptly reply with in two days it will be solved. But no results. Then it became one week, then month & then no response at all. It became a ritual. I HAVE MY ABODE IN ROHINI SECTOR - 9 & THEY WILL FORWARD MY COMPLAINT TO BHALSAWA OR PLACES HAVING NO RELEVANCE TO THE AREA OF Problem / USE. THEY EVEN INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAVE DEPUTED AN ENGINEER TO SORT OUT THE PROBLEM. BUT EVERYTHING WAS JUST on paper TO PACIFY ME WITHOUT ANY ACTION OR RESULT. I informed them that I will have to port out my phone. They did not take it seriously. Finally I decided to quit with a wait for solution for almost three years.
THE DAY OF RECKONING: I went for porting this number to Reliance Communication with post paid scheme. On the day of request for porting I got almost twenty five calls from Vodafone asking the reason for porting or to reverse my decision. However I stuck to my decision. Probably I committed a mistake here in choosing the new operator - perhaps due to similarity with Reliance Jio & Reliance communications, in March, 17
SERVICE OF RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS - THE WORST POSSIBLE: Night mare started. I felt like, ' PED SE GIRA JHAARI MEIN ATKA". Its service was the worst possible. There was no service around my residence, some parts of Gurgaon, UP area, DTU & some more points . When I complained in July, they did not even acknowledge the complaint. Reminders but no response. I threatened to stop payment for faulty service. still no response. FINALLY I STOPPED PAYMENT OF BILLS. Now they responded - not for my complaint but asking for the payment of the bill. Then they first barred my outgoing calls & then the incoming too. My this number was associated with all my accounts & other important day to day matters. Thus I am chocked. Interestingly even now although there is no service worth the name, every month they generate the new bill with arrears & mail me to pay. I CAN NOT PORT THE NUMBER AS NO OBJECTION FROM THEM IS REQUIRED, THIS BEING A POST PAID connection. They ask me to pay the complete bill even for non functional services / period with penalty. TRAI DOES NOT BOTHER.
FINALLY 9999168853 born with Vodafone, remained ailing, embraced Reliance Communication & went into coma in July due to complete malnourished. The sponsor-er the senior citizen with age related problems has a chocked life due to such useless, shameless, anti consumer, dishonest operators under the shabby national system
