If you have trouble playing a media file such as video or tune, you have downloaded from the internet, and you can't play it in your standard media player, chances are that vlc media player( free, direct) will play it. It'll often succeed where windows media player and win Amp fail . VLC media player is available for windows,Macintosh,and many Linux flavors.
The player shows the artist and song title of the song currently playing on internet radio stations in its window title bar and in a tooltip from the minimized icon- more than you get from Window Media player, which just shows the channel name.
It's a great software to use.
