I have recently bought a Venus Splash 25 lts from Bangalore @ Rs 6300+ 150
fitting charge.
The basic reason for choosing Venus is that it has a special
design feature which is not found in any other geyser, i.e it has a dual
ceramic element which does not directly make contact with water. Thus greatly
reduces the chance of salt deposition related element failure( I live in a
hard water prone area). Plus a double element gives the natural advantage of
redundancy in case one element fail.
The PUF insulation is quite effective and retain heat for a
long time. The externally adjustable thermostat is quite handy. The inner
copper tank is guaranteed for 5 years.
Hence no reason to worry about water corrosion by hard
water.
Copper is a good medium to store water ….as per ayurveda copper naturally inhibits bacterial growth hence Better than stainless steel.
I know a relative who has been using Venus geyser for over 5
years without a single breakdown. Thus to some extend I can say that this
product is really worth your money. Mind you during my market survey lot of
people specially electrician were dead against this product. Now I know the
reason why they are against it, i.e low break downs incidences, hence low or no
business for them…. Cheers!
Mind you in hard water conditions normal geysers will
require maintenance at least once in two years. More over scaling on the
element greatly reduces the heating efficiency.
Will write a long term usage experience in 6 months time.
