SHAHRUKH is still the best..... Review on Veer-Zara

Yash Chopra Magic continues...

Yash Chopra-Shahrukh Khan magic is sure to touch our lives once again in this Diwali. After his back surgery he came back successfully in ''Main hoon na...''with the hope that he is still there to run a whole film on his strong shoulder. While the after effect of MHN is still there with the ringtones and wallpapers,SRK is back with another project Veer-Zara.

Yash Chopra always makes romantic movies which touch the souls of sensible people. The striking part of his films are always the music,sometime very unique. We all remember (hey...may be not all but the majority) how he has taken us to the world of fancy with DTPH. The movie was highly successful and till date those songs are simply terrific.

Now,Yash uncle is back with this film where he has used the unused tunes of Late Madan Mohon. Actually, he was searching for some good tunes while Late Madan Mohon's son asked him to listen to some tunes which was made by his father. Yash Chopra was stunt with them and wanted to use with touching lyrics of Zaved Akhtar. Our Nightangle sang those melodious songs for him,and everyone knows what happened next! The music album is a great hit. Now,let me tell you guys something more.....till date the story of Veer-Zara is not into many discussions and we all know very little about the story.

ShahRukh Khan = Veer-Pratap Singh

Preity Zinta = Zara Hayaat Khan

Rani Mukerjee plays the role of a lawyer who tries to rescue Veer Pratap Singh while he was caught by the Pakistani police. Yash Chopra says it is not a triangular love story. Rani comes in the picture in order to solve the problems between Veer and Zara. Though we never know whether the lady with a black coat falls in love with the mesmerising smile of Veer Pratap Singh! She might not disclose it before the release of the film. This is actually a love story on the background of Indo-Pak relation. Amitabh,being the most favourite hero of Yash Chopra,is there along with Hema Malini in guest performances. I guess the Amitabh-Hema formula from ''Baghban'' is implied here. Though it's just a wild guess but I might be right!!

The Yash Chopra movies always create an extra interest with their promos. The trailers are mind blowing and someone who is an imaginary person....would love to watch them more. I always like Yashji for the way he presents a movie. I remember the way DTPH has been started, with the song ''Ek dooje ke waste..'',it's simply unique and touchy. Even in ''Dhoom'',the presentation is grand. Though Yash Chopra said that he was not much in ''Dhoom'',rather he was concentrating in ''Veer-Zara''. We all are waiting to see the reflection of his special imagination with this movie. He adds that, ''Veer-Zara'' will show ShahRukh's best performances till date. Special people like Lata Mangeshkar, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Gurdas Mann, Roop Kumar Rathod, Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain have contributed in the music.As usual the dress, ambience of the songs, make-up....everything will surely give us the feel of YashRaj films' once more.

Hi guys!

Just yesterday I've watched the 1st show of Veer-Zara and felt like adding something more in my previous review....which was actually a preview. The Story Squadron leader Veer Pratap Singh meets Zara Hyatt Khan while rescuing her from an accident.He saves her life several times,co incidentally.Zara's grandmother dies in Pakistan.Her last wish was that,he ''asthi'' should reach India.Zara took the trouble to come along with that.While returning home(Pakistan)she met Veer.Veers saved her life and wanted 1 day from her(very touchy,isn't it?).

How could Zara say no to him as she also started liking this IAF officer?Zara spent a day with Ver's family in their home.She looked simply gorgeous and dazzling with the Punjabi outfits on the Roli night.She came to know that Amitabh and Hema are actually Veer's uncle and aunty who always loved him as their son. Veer accompanied Zara till station where they met Razzaq(Manoj Bajpeyi),Zara's fiance.Veer got the shock but told Zara that he started liking he and wanted to marry he,too. Zara went to Lahore with Razzaq,leaving the sweet memories and one of her ''payels''(anklets) with Veer.This was actually dropped on the bridge while Zara got hurt.

Everything was fine there in Lahore,everyone was busy in the preparation of Zara's marriage with Razzaq.But,Zara was deeply in love with Veer.It was only Shabbo(Vidya Balan) who wanted to help her by calling Veer to Lahore.He came and they met infront of everyone in a mosque.As expected,Zara's mother came and asked Veer ''Meri beti ab meri nehi rahi,woh tumhari ho chuki.....meri beti mujhe lautado...'' What to do?Veer tried to make Zara understand and started for India.

That was the time when he was caught by the Lahore Police and was in a false case.It was Manoj Bajpeyi who,with the help of Pakistani Police,forced Veer to sign on a paper.The paper said,it was Rajesh Rathore,a RAW person,was supplying information to India.Razzaq added that,if Veer wanted Zara to be happy he had to do it.He forced Veer not to open his mouth otherwise Zara's life would be a hell.

Veer,once again saved Zara's life by signing there.

22 years passed on like that,Veer was in his late 40's,a ''pari'' samiya Siddiqqi came to give him ''insaaf''.She made him talk to her....about everything...... Veer did.He was touched by Samiya's affection,respect and care.....which he never got in last 22years.It was Samiya's 1st case and she wanted him to get back his OWN IDENTITY. She tried a lot,but there was nobody who could recognize Veer Pratap Singh.She could not take Zara's name as Veer never wanted that.

Disappointed Samiya came to India with the hope that she might meet his family members.But they died much before. While she was about to return,by God's grace she met Zara and Shabbo there,teaching children.Then as expected...Zara came and after 22 years of struggle and painful life Veer-Zara-these two names were taken together.

SRK is excellent,though Preity suits more as a young and bubbly lady.Amitabh and Hema need no criticism.They are just right according to their cast.Vidya Balan and Manoj Bajpeyi are equally good.Other characters also played well.

:::::::Camera:Action:::::::

I liked the camera works.The scene where Veer and Zara met after 22years in the courtroom,was simply splendid.The camera was moving zooming in to Veer and Zara respectively showing their changes from 22 years ago till now. Camera angles are good enough to create interest in this movie.

:::::::Make-up::::::

I'd love to mention the make up of Shahrukh and Priety.Shahrukh's make up was really good while Priety's makeup looked a little unreal. Songs Songs?Ohh...everyone knows about the melodical voice of Lataji and others.Simply great.

::::::::Special scenes:::::::

Some scenes are very very special.It was the court scene where Veer and Zara met after 22years.They were seen in their 20's and 40's together.It meant that,they were still young by heart no matter what TIME has taken from them. Really appreciatable!
