"Jor se bolo Jai mata di, Sare bolo jai mata di" Vaishno Devi Mandir a religious place where every Indian wants to visit once in his life.I too visited it when my father was posted in that area.It is a nice journey from Katra.
The beauty of Jammu and Kashmir can be seen there.Actually it covers the Jammu region but let it be. The hotels are available at every peak.It does not like you are climbing the mountain it looks like you are going to workship the God.While talking about the height of temple from the ground can be said to be 8-9 hr climbing for an average or you can say if are with your family or else.
A youth can climb it in 3 hr atmost. The local sightseeing can be said as the best view of nature .And if you are visiting it during the winter season then it the best thing you have ever seen on earth with full of mountains covered everywhere.
And talking about the safety, its now safer than ever before there are stairs also as well as their are roads even their are horses which can lift you as soon as you go up the mountains.
My experience there was the best ever experience of my life and the thing I remembered there was onions were not present at food or simply they treat onions as non-veg material type of thing.
