''A film is ? or should be ? more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods or feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later. After you've walked out of the theatre, maybe the next day or a week later, maybe without ever actually realizing it, you somehow get what the filmmaker has been trying to tell you.''

Vaastu Shastra ? Review
There were reports that Vaastu Shastra was a remake of Stanely Kubrick?s Eyes Wide Shut? hehehe? just kidding??The Shining? and another B grade flick ?The Sixth sense? by Manoj Night Shymalan.
To be honest if you say VS is a remake of ?The shining? dig a h ole and bury yourself.
Apart from the writer husband, child moving in the tricycle and seeing the ghost there is no similarity.
?The Shining? was extremely creepy -were enough to scare shi t out of me. Remember-All work and no play make jack a dull boy?
But Vaastu shastra- If bhoot scared you this film will kill you. Yuppie? This flick will kill you but for the wrong reasons.
Vaastu Shastra directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali? oh? its actually Sourabh Usha Narang and produced by RGV.
Cast : Sushmita Sen, chakravarthy (rem Satya?? Rather the film should have been named Bhiku Matre), Ehsaas, Peeya and Purab and Rajpal Yadav.
Story Do tell me if it has any. haha... No spoilers ahead? infact there are no spoilers..haha
Writer husband (chakravarthy), doctor wife (Sushmita sen) and their 4 yr old son Ehsaas and Sush?s sis Peeja move into their brand new house which is situated outskirts.
Things settle down and the small boy visits nook and corner of the house with his
tricycle and informs his mom that someone apart from them dwells here (tree). But his parents refuse to believe?similar to shining?but it ends here.
Later after her interaction with rajpal yadav she realizes that her son was actually true.
So what happens next?? loads of nonsense and crappy stuff.
Performance
Sushmita Sen: Her performance in Saamay was noteworthy. She was stunning in MHN. In VS she looks different with less make up. She has given a wonderful performance. Her expressions look real. Definitely Sush is better than Tr(ash).
Chakravarthy Does what is expected from him. No great role offered to him unlike Jack nicholsan in ?The Shining?.
Peeya and Purab are just about ok. They just have fun, nothing else.
Rajpal Yadav, it seems this artist features in all RGV?s production? He knows the story about the tree and the house?warns Sush whenever she goes out. He is a good actor? hope to see more of him.
Ehsaas He is brilliant... His interactions with kaamwali bhai is very funny.
BGM what in the hell is all that screeching?? by Amar Mohile
Camerawork and Editing are good. But is the Screenplay that sucks. Oh I forgot about the special effects? they were amazing?I thought I were watching shaktimaan
Its the story that plays spoil sport. The climax will confuse the viewers?
Did the film scare me?? Unfortunately NO?. oops yeah on one instance they scared me a lot, that?s when during the interval they aired Naach trailor, looking at Abhishek Bachchan and his expression golly, I was really scared.haha
But the film does have few good moments? first being during the first half when Peeya imagines Purab?s death and and incidents that follow..
Second is during the second half when Chakravathy hold Sush?s neck.
yeah the director is good, he has handled the first half very well? infact there are few scenes which are creepy we know some weird shi t is going on in the house and the tree, but we're not sure what or why ? Though the second half gains momentum but the climax makes the whole film look very silly (a regular case in RGV production).
Silly? Its raining heavily and Sush is driving the car and bangs into that tree?now the flames appear and the tree gets burnt?what kinda shi t is this?
The entire ghosts began to melt as soon as the tree melts, then how come Rajpal Yadav is attacked by a ghost??
The boy says to Peeja the ghost child?. Were his friends but now they have become woes. But why?
Whats the reason for the Ghost to kill everyone?? There has to be some reason...even in Bhoot we had fardeen incident... but what about here??
So that?s it? nothing spectacular about this film, it disappoints and if you plan to watch it do go out with large group of friends? will have a great time teasing the movie ,characters and making weird sounds which will definitely be better than the BGM.
A screeching and irritating BGM, no story, no suspense, no reasoning?RGV takes us for granted.
Rating *1/2 (being generous to RGV?s Factory)
