Earlier this place used to be known as E-inn. The last time I visited they had changed it to Sai Vishram, new management I guess and Indianisation of names is suddenly gaining fashion. I have already written a review on Time Traveller earlier, that was a pleasant experience, but I cannot say the same thing about this one.I had been informed to us that the buffet at this restaurant is similar to the one we received at Time Traveler.
Ambiance - This was quite ok, but when compare to its sister restaurant I found it a bit bland. They have tried to make most out of the space and made it look cramped in the process. A better seating arrangement would do them a world of good.
Let's come to the main part, the Food - The welcome drink was a bit too hot for my taste, a mocktail or a cola would have been a much better and safer option. Very few starters(just 3) and one of it was a spinach soup which I hated. The seekh kebab were too dry and felt stale. Spring rolls were ok. I didn't take any of the salads, not really a salad person anyway but one of my friends took some and had to throw it away.
The rest of the spread was a mix of North Indian and South Indian main courses, I learned mixing two ends of the spectrum together can have undesirable effects on your stomach. The Biryani was the only thing I like, all other dishes were below par.
They also had a Chinese spread. None of which I tried, I had already lost my interest by then, but according to a friend of mine, the noodles were good. They had an elaborate spread of desserts some of which I likes, try the Mango Kheer it tastes good, rest looked more like ready made stuff you will find in any shop
The Cost of the buffet was just 260 Rs per person, we should have got the signal, who sells a buffet at such a throwaway price anyways. The quality was not even worth 200.
A bad experience overall, My rating - 1/5
