What’s all the Roar about?. Review on Uproar

Sometimes, we like to just kick back, take the shoes off and relax. Everyone needs to have some way to releasing their stress and many turn to games to fulfill that need.

I recently decided to visit a site called uproar.com to see what they had to offer, and as important as what they have in the way of entertainment is the cost.

I was very pleased to see that the service is free. But unlike some of the other game sites I’ve visited, this one has a slight twist to it, it offers the participant a chance at prizes. Pretty neat!

What games are there?

All the old favorites are here, but just think, you don’t need to wait until you find someone to play them with you on this site, there is someone waiting for you! The site has both stand alone games, and those that are played with an online partner. There are three basic ways to play games on the site, each has it’s own icon indicating which type of game it is. The three are download available, multi-player, cash prizes.

My feelings on the site

I’m using a regular no frills dial up to access the internet, and the site ran smooth and relatively fast. I’ve seen faster, and I’ve seen the you-better-pack-your-lunch speed ones, so this one is doing well I think. But, please keep in mind, that a great deal of the speed and smoothness is due to whichever machine you are running. Some connections are slower and some are faster, just as some machines are slower and faster. But for me, and on two separate machines, the site ran smoothly.

How do I earn prizes?

There are seven different prize categories. There are Car or cash, Target Gift Card, Computers and Electronics, Gift Certificates, Home and Family, Platinum Club and last but least the Prizebot (which enters you into all drawings.)
