upGrad Education Private Limited is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.

A year ago I joined the Hybrid MS program at Golden Gate University through upGrad and here is the complete review of upGrad.


Review of UpGrad’s Services:




  1. Misleading Admissions Promises




UpGrad assured me that factors like educational gaps and prior visa rejections wouldn’t impact admission or loan eligibility. Unfortunately, these issues led to loan rejection after enrollment, causing severe financial strain.




  1. False Visa Success Rates




I was told that a large number of students successfully obtained U.S. visas through UpGrad’s programs. However, in my batch of 19 students, only 1 person received visa approval. This “high success rate” claim feels deceptive.




  1. Poor Quality Content & Lack of Accreditation




The program content didn’t meet expectations for the fees charged, often appearing basic compared to free resources. Additionally, the program lacks AACSB accreditation, which is essential for credit transfers and adds value to the job market—something not disclosed upfront.




  1. Unqualified Visa Assistance Team




UpGrad charged substantial fees for visa support, but the team’s guidance was lacking. They even requested DS-160 login credentials, which was unprofessional and concerning.




  1. Unfulfilled Intake Promises




Despite requesting and being assured of a May 2024 intake, I was enrolled for Fall 2024. This delay was costly, yet UpGrad provided no solution or support.




  1. Unclear Refund and Support Policies




When issues were raised, the grievance process offered no real solutions, and getting any compensation was a struggle.


Overall, my experience with UpGrad was frustrating and financially draining. Be cautious if considering their programs and do thorough research before investing in their services.
