There is something very unique about Jet Li starrer movies, it has those typical gangster kung-fu karate stunts which excites some fans like us who are die hard action lovers. But in the end it does not appeal to the audiences as Jet Li is not universally accepted or may not be as good in acting as Jackie Chan. But he certainly fights like a true karate champ.

Unleashed starts with a superb action scene which leaves you wanting for more but as the story progresses further you come across various other unwanted scenes or unwanted sequences which ruins your expectations. Somewhere down the line you even feel as if you are watching an emotional film with slow dialogues and scenes.

The whole concept of blind man played by Morgan Freeman and his bonding with Jet Li is not completely digestable. You think was that really needed and on top of that a young girl who is the step daughter of Morgan Freeman makes Jet Li feel like a better man but eventually audiences are still not convinced by her role.

After a long gap you get to see a fight between the bad guy who keeps Jet Li as his slave but that also comes towards the end with little action in between. If this movie had little more action stuff then it surely would have appealed to atleast those die hard Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan movie lovers, as compared to Jet Li's earlier movies like Romeo must die this does not prove to live up to its mark. Still those dvd fans who like to stack up thier action collection with one more then go for it but only go for a rent because buying will be a definitely no-no.
