Not good university in my opinion. Review on University of Calcutta

I am an alumni of Calcutta University, 2008 batch. But in my opinion the university once had global leadership in the education now everything spoilt because of the bad administration and too much of student union political activity.

Once people like Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Satyendra Nath Bose, Mamata Banerjee, Jyoti Basu, Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Somnath Chatterjee, Mrinal Sen, Aparna Sen, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Soumitra Chatterjee, and many more notable filmmakers, actors and leaders had their education at Calcutta University. Many of the Indian freedom fighters were studied here.

In my time I was eligible for the admission in a good college under the Calcutta University but because of student parties my admission form was vanished from the merit list.  In the day of counselling I was wondering. How pupils with less grades were getting admission? Why my name was not called?

I asked the councillors they searched all application forms but mine was not found.  It was taken out and disappeared from the office.  I showed them the receipt. But the administration is so scared of the student union's presser that they told me sorry we can't take your admission without the admission form.

It was a nightmare to me.
