UPDATE:

I flew yet another flight from United from somewhere in the US(I think DC again) to Dubai. And the planes had the most enormous bathrooms I have ever seen! The seating was better than my last flight too.

And the landing was phenomenal. Believe me when I tell you this - we all thought we were still in air when the plane had actually made a perfect landing: no turbulence whatsoever!

The end message was: "Ladies and gentleman, some of you might find it hard to believe, but we have actually landed in Dubai."

ORIGINAL:

I flew from Zurich to DC via United. I think it was a Boeing 737 with extremely tight leg space. It wasn't such a comfortable experience due to this. I didn't eat anything.

The diet meal I had ordered contained a burger with lettuce and stuff, which I don't eat. So I ended up eating just fruit or jellos I guess and a glass of juice on an eight hour long flight. I didn't enjoy watching TV much, mostly because I was so stuffed in between the seats that my legs could no longer bear it.

Other than that, it was an ok experience. I would think again before flying economy on their Boeing 737. It's ok to use small planes like these for national flights, but definitely not ok on intercontinental flights, especially when you're flying from Europe to the US! I hope they shift to bigger planes or somehow create more leg space in their economy class, or at least add some good meal options for economy class.
