I am a deep fan of Mukesh and had a great liking for his songs. Before writing my likings I would like to share some information on singer for trivia seekers.

1.Mukesh Chand Mathur was born in July 1923 in Delhi.

2.He was the sixth child of the eleven children of his parents.

3.Actor Motilal met Mukesh in some wedding where the latter was requested to sing a song to entertain the Barati's.The Actor was deeply impressed by his voice and took him to Bombay. The year was 1940

4.He was a great fan of  K.L Saigal .

1. After coming to Bombay Mukesh took classes from Pandit Jagannath Prasada.

Raj Kapoor used to also visit there frequently as he was a great lover of Music.

One day Raj cracked a joke to Mukesh that'your voice is so good that it has made

me envious'. Mukesh made a quick reply by saying' Don't worry you can take my voice.'The world knows that RK Mukesh alliance was made in heaven.

6.His first major assignment came in the year 1945 Dil Jalta hai to Jalne De(pehli Nazar) under the baton of Anil Biswas.

7.Mukesh sang primarily for Raj Kapoor(110 songs) in 55 films.

8.1958 saw a tough time for Mukesh as he became so miser that he has to withdrew his children from school.
