In my first review soon after buying this bike, I had given good opinion. But now, after using it for 3 years and trying out others like Pulsar & Unicorn, I have a different point of view.
I do not think TVS Fiero F2 is good anymore. Honestly, this bike is the last choice in 150 segment. I am giving you this input after riding Pulsar 150-DTSi and Honda Unicorn.
Handling / stability is poor on TVS F2. It is becming increasingly difficult to maintain stable balance at low speeds, esp in Bangalore traffic. This bike behaves properly only for 1-2 months from the date of service. Then it is back to handling problems. This is despite the fact that I service the bike very regularly, only at TVS showrooms.
Shocks - suck. After 3 years, the shocks are DEAD. I fill the shock oil regularly, so it is ok for 2 months from the date of service. Rear shocks are useless now. I don't feel like riding this everymorning because of the'shocks' I get on Bangalore rorads.
Brakes - have been a problem since the beginning. This bike skids easily.
Acceleration - I do not think this bike can come anywhere close to Pulsar/Unicorn in terms of acceleration. the only reason to buy a 150CC bike should be acceleration. Speed is ok, I have reached 100, but it takes time to pick up in any gear. Acc is very weak in 3rd and 4th gear compared to pulsar/unicorn.
Good things that I liked:
Reliable(no break down or parts replacement so far), mileage(55 kmpl consistently), head lamp(I think brightest in its class)
I suggest Pulsar for its acceleration in any gear, stability. Honda Unicorn for better engine, smooth ride & handling.
