As you guys know the competition in the market for 150cc bikes. All the companies are making their best out of them. Lets talk about some famous bike in 150-160cc segment
1> Pulsar 150
2>CB dazzler
3>HH cbz extreme
4>Yamaha FZ & Fazer series
5>Apache RTR 160.... (these are my options in the market)
It is outdated bike which I rode it for more than 4yrs I was done with it.. it was a good bike but we need to change with time..
CB dazzler...
i never rode this bike so I can't comment on it .. But I heard that it is really smooth bike in 150cc
HH cbz extreme..
I was comfortable with this bike ... But my right wrist didn't accept it to twist it bcoz there is no fun in riding a bike which is too quite
Yamaha FZ & Fazer
They both have the same heart. Yamaha as just added a stylish headlamps to its fazer. It's a good bike easy to handle.. But as an INDIAN im not fyn with its mileage. Finally here comes Apache RTR. TVS has done good job . This bike is really impressive one among the above mentioned bikes. It has a 160cc heart just 10cc more than the above bikes .
My personal experience after riding this bike ...
Pros:
1.It has excellent pick up best among its competitors..
2.I never expected a bike with 160cc to touch a top speed off 113 kmph with a pillion on..( I hope it would reach about 125+kmph with no pillion on)
3.Mileage is very impressive it gave me 54+ in city (at speeds of 50-58)
on highways it gave about 40km/ltr ( at the speed of 100+)
4.Looks .. it got the best looks I really love its looks .
5.It is easy to drive in the traffic conditions.. as its a compact bike the little beast..
6.The petal disc does its job very well really impressive .. drum brake does its job
- Digital console well built good to look at.. notifies you about everything like low fuel, servicing due , low oil , etc it has 2 trip meters , its records the top speed and not the least lap timings can be recorded it is the unique feature
the only thing u need to do is just twist ur right wrist and look at ur rear view mirrors ...
u can see friends struggling to pass u
cons:
i think there are nothing much
1.sleek rear Tyre .. you may slide on the wet surface.. and should be careful when u drive through
pot holes
2.Seating position I got back pain and wrist pain ( may be bcoz of my sitting posture )
- Vibrations you can feel them at the speeds of 50-60 mostly , but they disappear soon when u ride it at the speed of 60+ ( it is negotiable )
4.Gearbox its little bit hard but its not a problem u get addicted to it (this problem is also negotiable )
comparing to other bikes I think this is the best bike
I said you about the other bikes and mentioned about them in a line why not to choose them...
Apache RTR is the best ... I personally advice my friends to own this beast...
you can count on me guys as I know how important this review will be for a biker to choose a bike
ride safe , put your helmet on ....
