A girl caught between a former lover who was part of her soul, and current lover who she sees as her future.

‘Tum Bin’ was an evergreen film that made inroads into many hearts.  This second installment continues with the same theme ‘Without You’ but with new cast and an improved script with a twist, making it a must watch for ‘Tum Bin’ fans and a treat for first timers.

Story:  Amar(Aashim Gulati) and Taran(Neha Sharma) are engaged and on a short vacation at a Ski Resort. While skiing down the mountain, Amar meets with an accident and does not return. Taran and Amar’s father(Kanwaljit Singh) search for him, and return back to their home in Glasgow after a 9 day search could not retrieve Amar’s body and who is considered dead. Amar is then shown surviving the accident but in a coma being treated at an unknown place. Meanwhile, Shekhar(Aditya Seal) is introduced to the family by Amar’s father as the son of a close friend who is no more. Shekhar gets thoroughly involved with Taran and her family who start to like him. Love blossoms between Taran and Shekhar who are now used to each other and also start up a business together. Amar recovers after 8 months and is back with the family. Taran is torn between the two lovers and is unable to come to terms with the sudden twist in her life. What follows demands your viewership.

Cast: Aashim Gulati, Aditya Seal and Neha Sharma were the key actors whose talent was effectively exploited by the script. Neha Sharma not only looked pretty but delivered a mesmerizing performance. Aditya Seal was brilliant with his character which demanded great maturity and depth. Aashim Gulati looked great and showed immense potential. Rest of the cast was nicely picked and delivered.

Pros: Brilliant - Script, Songs, Direction, Casting, Cinematography and Editing. The thought provoking meaningful dialogues add great value to the screenplay and command viewer’s attention at all times. The scenic locales and professional camerawork were excellent.

Cons: Some viewers may find the film slow and lengthy. The film could have done away with the song ‘Ki Kariye Nachna Aaonda Nahin’ which was unwanted, misfit and carelessly choreographed.

Songs: The wonderful music & lyrics were key to the script accompanied with great visuals. The songs blended well with the screenplay.

Direction: The film is co-produced, written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. He goes into great depth and detail while executing an emotional script which is his key attribute. The direction of this film is best-in-class. The screenplay is successful in emotionally & effectively engaging the viewer.

Conclusion: The film is rich in content with eloquent dialogues & emotional romantic drama that offers thoughtful insight in love, maturity, grace & sacrifice, and hence a must watch especially for couples and those in one sided love.  The run time is approximately 2 hours 45 minutes which I felt was a bit too long due to the slow pace, but was the demand of the script. Nevertheless, it does not bore you but keeps you engaged till the end, and provides value for your time and money.
