Toilet ek prem katha is not a katha, it is an advertisement of swach bharat abhiyan which can be a 1 minute commercial, but govt might now required us to contribute to the program by purchasing the ticket for this film.
Plot of the movie is for sure one of its kind, that is a a girl married to Akshay is unknown of the fact that the he doesn't have a toilet at his place. Also, the complete village is fond of doing toilet out in the fields under the stars and discussing their house hold issues. So, non of the villager except akshay and actress agrees to the hygine of making a toilet in their home. You should watch the movie to know if they succeed or not.
Performances of all the actors is very poor ( including Akshay) . Often you will find them doing an over acting on the situation where it is not required. The acting of actress is the worst I found. You belive on her cry only of some one tell you that she is crying. Does not expect such a poor show.
Music is another poor thing in this film. A song hass mat pagli pyaar ho jayega ( which is repeated 3 times) is picked up from a common phrase written on the auto rickshaw etc. Music is such an irritating factor in the film that songs feel like deliberately induced in the story to extend its lenght.
Cinematography is poor as well, where in india is such a village that has a train station with express train stop but the village does not have a single toilet ? Also, we have a pandit home, which does not have a tulsi plant at the home, no idles anywhere but still the head of family resist for making a toilet. It can surely be better.
Please save your money and avoid this film.
