Made in India...... Review on Titan Watches

Today, when I read a review about TITAN, I just thought that I must write my experience....

I am a chemical engineer and by nature of job, have to work in Chemical factories. I bought a TITAN watch for about Rs. 1500 in 1992 and used it regularly for 8 years when the following incidence occurred.

I was working in Middle East. While taking round in my plant, I reached a platform that is about 20 ft. from the ground. There was lot of scaffolding around the area I was moving in. Suddenly belt of my watch got caught in bolt of the scaffolding and the spring holding the belt bent. Before I could do anything about it, the watch had come out of my wrist was falling down.

Feeling confident that it will fall on the grating, I was standing on, I relaxed. However, amazingly, the watch passed through the openings in the grating falling to the ground, a cool 20 feet below.

I ran down the steps, feeling sure that the watch needs complete replacement, on immediate basis. When I picked up the watch, glass had been smashed to pieces, but...... the watch was still ticking.

Then and there I took a decision. In spite of the large variety of watches available in Middle East (many of them I have never seen India), my next watch will be TITAN.

I went ahead and bough another TITAN. But even today, as I type this letter, I am waring the same watch that fell from 20 ft. Only difference is it has a new glass on it.

TITAN is one brand Indians can certainly feel proud about.
