TIRUMALA - A GREAT DEVOTIONAL/SPIRITUAL CUM TOURIST PLACE IN THE WORLD OM NAMO SREE VENKATESAYA - OM NAMO NARAYANAYA Tirumala - I think no person heard or known about Tirumala in the World. Myself and my parents & brothers went to Tirumala for darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy many times. This is the wonderful experience while travelling from Tirupathi to Tirumala on the seven hills by bus. We can reach tirupathi by the way of bus, train and flight. There are many curves and water falls existed on the seven hills and couple of roads have been constructed by Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanams for the benefit of employees. At the same time one more steps road also built by TTD for the devotees who want to go to Tirumala from Tirupathi by walk. In ancient days there is no road for Tirumala but due to the darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy by huge population and increasing of devotees to the Tirumala the State Government made a trust called Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam for development and administration of Tirumala Temple and Tirumala. Now rope line also has been constructing by the TTD from Tirupathi to control the huge population coming from world. This is one of great historical temple in the world. And also second richest temple in the World in view of getting income. This is very ancient temple in the World. It is located on top of seven hills in the city of Tirupathi administered under Chittoor district in the Andhra Pradesh state. Lord Vishnu Murthy was born in Kaliyuga for fulfilling the desires of devotees as Lord Venkateswara Swamy. This temple was built by ancient tamil king Tondaman. Later Hindu, Muslim and also Britishers looked after the temple at their decades. This is best philigrim center for Hindus. Due to the increasing of income of Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in tirumala, the state government as well as TTD trust developed the temple and tirumala along with tirupathi in a wide range in view of all aspects like arrangements for devotees for residing, construction of roads, shops & commercial buildings, compartments for devotees who came for darshan, free food facility in various places, free bus facility for devotees in tirumala for site seeing purpose, free luggage counters, free cottages, free mobile care counters, free cheppal care centers, free refreshing complexes etc. Particularly Former Chief Minister Dr.N.T.Rama Rao has developed Tirupathi very well. Former Chief Minister Dr. N.T.Rama Rao developed in respect of free food, free residing cottages, free prasadam for devotees and another many facilities. Now a days due to the increasing of population who coming for darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy especially at the time of Brahmotsavams in the month of october in every year, some lakhs of devotees will come at that time. At that time most of the devotees will face shortage of cottages, waiting for more than a day for darshan etc. Every year the income of tirumala temple is increasing in a wide range which a person cannot expect. Actually due to the huge population now a days, the TTD brought several changes in administering the devotees without any problems. Generally the time for taking darshan in normal days is averagely 10 to 15 hrs. At the time of Fridays and Saturdays it will be as 24 to 30 hrs. This indicates the importance of Tirumala and most of population coming from tamilnadu normally. I have also gone to Tirumala many times by bus and by walk. At the time of walking on steps, we will find different scenarys, Deer parks, wonderful views etc. We must relax if we step in tirumala hills. Tirupathi is located at the foot hills of Tirumala Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Towards darshan there is free darshan which takes more hours to complete the darshan. The devotees should take rest in compartments while going darshan. The compartments are made of iron grills and each compartment is very big as approximately 1000 devotees can sit relaxed with facilities of Television, distribution of prasadam, toilets etc. The TTD is providing special darshan on collection of Rs.300/- which the devotees can darshan speedly in compare with free darshan i.e. approximately 3 to 5 hours even in busy time also. One more is for tresspassers the TTD will give one timing in between their way and the devotees should attend one hour before in the line for that time. In view of accommodation for devotees the TTD have constructed several cottages in various costs along with free rooms. The rent of cottages starts from 100 per day, 300 per day, 500 per day etc. In addition for this there are so many luxury hotels and cottages maintaining by the private people in Tirumala and also Tirupathi. The Thirupathi has been developed vastly in commercial aspect only because of Tirumala. For the devotees of free darshan 2 Laddu prasadam will be provided by the TTD. For 300/- darshan more Laddu prasadams will be issued on free of cost. This may change from time to time based on busy circumstances. In addition to the Laddu, Vada, Gare, Pongal(Sweet & Hot), Pulihora etc providing by the TTD trust. Every inch in Q-line will be observed by the TTD employees by setting up of CC Cameras. No cell phone, camera, water bottles will be allowed inside the temple on security back ground. In security point of view the TTD & state government have taken several security methods like prohibition of cell phone & camera in side the temple, prohibition of fly in the tirumala, army & local police picketing for 24 hours etc. In addition to this there are so many spiritual places located around the tirumala and tirupathi within the radius of 10 kilometers. The TTD and APSRTC introduced various packages for site seeing of such tourist places by way of bus journey. Several private cars and zeebs also available for site seeing the important places. Now the daily income of Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam is approximately averagely 2.5 crore to 3 crore. At the time of Brahmotsavams it may be increased highly. Most of the income coming for TTD will be utilized for development of temple, facilities for devotees etc. So every body must be visit Tirumala Lord Sree Venkateswara Swamy at least once in their life time.
